Not sure exactly where we stand on the Luxury tax line, but if its possible to bring him in on a vet min contract it might be a very good move. Hes basically just an energy big, but he can fill in at PF or C and would be a good insurance policy.

I agree, he'd be another good guy to pick up. Doubt we do it though. I can really see the Suns picking him up, since they won't have Stoudemire for awhile. I could the Celtics going for him too, depending on if Joe Smith gets bought out or not. A lot of playoff teams will be in the hunt for him.

Does anybody have a handle on whether there's room under the lux line for a vet min contract? I know there's some question about possible incentive-based bonuses to some players messing up the calculations, but I'd think if anyone knew what contracts have what incentives they could make a reasonable guess as to whether that bonus would be paid at this point. For all the trouble the FO went to to get under the lux, I think there's nobody available who'd make 'em go back over it.
If we do have room to sign a vet, you might be interested in ESPN's list of guys who MIGHT get bought out:

MOORE ON RADAR

The agent for forward Mikki Moore said he spoke with the Nuggets about his client, but the 11-year veteran probably is headed east.

Moore, who averaged 3.5. points and 3.3 rebounds for the Sacramento Kings this season, was waived Thursday and reportedly will sign with the Boston Celtics.

Agent Mark Bartelstein talked to the Nuggets this week; he said Moore likely will make a decision on his future this weekend.

I would like Joe Smith or Bobby Jackson as I believe they would play, however I do not care to see Miki Moore joining the team. He will end up just watching the games next to Petro and Balkman every night.

I forgot about Rasho from that article. It seems unlikely that IND would buy him out when they still have a shot at the playoffs AND likely that he'd gravitate naturally to SAntonio if they did, but wouldn't he be the best of the bunch if we could get him? Sure he looks like a doofus doing it, but the dude can play.
I also think the FO should cut Balkman's hair, have him grow a beard and wear Rambis glasses, then tell Karl that Balkman got hurt and they just signed this guy that Melo met in Jamaica over the All Star break. See if maybe he can get a fair shake.

... also rumors that BigShotBob might be talked out of retirement. Again, it's hard to imagine him coming here, but how could the Nugs lose with TWO guys nicknamed Big Shot !?!

Drew Gooden or Joe Smith would be great. If you can't snag one of them I'd be all for Bobby Jackson or Stack to rent for the rest of the season as well.
