OT: Jay Cutler Trade Thread

My Trade Idea:
Cleveland Browns get:
33rd Overall Draft Pick
48th Overall Draft Pick
Detroit Lions get:
Jay Cutler
Denver Broncos get:
1st Overall Draft Pick
Brady Quinn
The Broncos select Aaron Curry at 1 and B.J. Raji at 12 then rebuild their entire defense with Quinn at quarterback running the offense.
The Browns have Derek Anderson any way. If they somehow manage to get the second Eagles first round draft pick or Giants pick for Bralyon Edwards, then the Browns are looking at an incredible amount of draft picks to rebuild around.
The Lions add a proven, young Pro Bowl quality Quarterback while keeping their 20th overall draft pick. That's worth the extra pick to upgrade from unproven Matthew Stafford to that.
All three teams are rebuilt from these trades.

I like it.......
I think, however, we may see this trade......KC and Denver
#3, Cassel, 2nd or 3rd for Cutler and #12.
Frankly, Cutler is better, but Cassell knows the system. Allows us to go after either Raji or Curry with the #3 pick. Also gives us another pick for depth. And we already know that McDaniels has a man crush on Cassell.
Other trade ideas would be Quinn/Tommie Harris to the Broncos. Chicago gets Cutler, Browns get picks.....
Detroit #1 and #33 for Cutler, straight up.
Jets - Revis/1st
Seahawks - Hasselbeck/#4
etc etc etc

No way we trade Cutler to a division rival, even if it is to get Cassel.... And the Broncos dont really want the #1 overall pick
I think we could get Landry, 2 1st's and a 2nd for Cutler and a 3rd from Washington.

I'd like to see Brady Quinn in the Broncos uni next season as well as the cocky f*g Cutler going to Detroit, where he's gonna rot because of a horrible team.

I agree, I think the cassel ship has sailed. I'm all for the Washington trade you proposed, but that seems like a stiff price for them to pay. Can't really see a deal with Washington that doesn't invovle Cambell, and I really don't know how well he would fit in McDaniels system.

Yup, no way he goes to KC. In hindsight, I wish we woulda pulled the trigger to get Cassell earlier though. I highly doubt we get equal value for Cutler, so at least we could have had McDaniels' protege, a guy that would fit perfectly into his new system. Plus, at this point, I think I would rather have the sure-play, consistent QB over the big play, risky throw, egotistical little boy b*tch.
Anyway, I don't see him going to Detroit for the first overall either. No way the Broncos can afford that pick. I could see him going someplace that can offer a package with a mid-early first round pick. That way they can draft a solid rookie QB without having to pay him tons of guaranteed money.

imo 99% of this is Mcdipshits fault. You just dont shop a 25 year old franchise QB, and if you do, you keep it on the down low. Do you ever hear of peyton manning trade talks? tom brady, phillip rivers, ben rothlisberger?Didnt think so. Cutlers been an immature brat, but i think most of the guys I listed would act like cutler if they found out they were going to be traded for a career backup, Cutler never had an attitude like this before mcdumbass came in.(he was a bit too cocky, but he still responded to people's phone calls)

Yeah the whole thing is dumb. Well, at least we know the team is officially blown up and we're starting nearly from scratch. Sometimes it's easier to rebuild than to worry about pleasing everybody. Sorry Cutler.
I would have loved to watch him grow over the next 3-5 years with the team.
Ultimately, the only thing that I want to see from mctrouble is that he has a better plan for the team. If he has a plan and Cutler being traded is part of it, why not.

The Vikings are my #1 team and Broncos probably #2, I would kill to see Cutler in a Vikings uniform at season start. I feel for Broncos fans though, when the Vikings changed head coaches 3 years ago, he chased Daunte Culpepper out of town and ever since then we haven't had a stable player at the QB position.

No way Broncos get #1 pick and Quinn it would be more like Detroit's #20 pick and Quinn

Jay Cutler is a lying douchebag.
The Denver Broncos say Jay Cutler wants to get traded.
The star quarterback disagrees.
Cutler spoke exclusively Wednesday night with FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer at the UFC Fight Night 18 card in Nashville that both were attending. Cutler says he was shocked the Broncos issued a statement proclaiming he was on the block after conversations with agent Bus Cook.
"I was surprised they decided to trade me this soon," Cutler told Glazer in his first comments since the statement was released. "I didn't want to get traded. This wasn't me. They [The Broncos] had been going back and forth saying things, wanting me to be their quarterback and then they didn't."
"I really didn't want this. I love Denver. I really like my teammates. I didn't want it to get this far."
In a team-issued statement Tuesday, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen said his attempts and those by first-year head coach Josh McDaniels to reach Cutler for the past 10 days were "unsuccessful." But in what has turned into an obvious he-said, she-said situation, Cutler claims he is the one who had not heard from the Broncos during that time. Cutler said the first time he heard from the Broncos in 10 days was Tuesday when they informed him of their decision to trade him.
"A conversation with his agent earlier (Tuesday) clearly communicated and confirmed to us that Jay no longer has any desire to play for the Broncos," Bowlen said. "We will begin discussions with other teams in an effort to accommodate his request to be traded."
So where does Cutler land? Cutler didn't proclaim a favorite but also believes Denver will end up trading him to an NFC team. It's believed Denver is considering all offers to move Cutler before the April 25 start to the NFL draft.
Cutler is being linked to a slew of suitors, even those with seemingly stable quarterback situations. The Broncos, though, aren't giving Cutler away. A source told FOXSports.com that the asking price is greater than a first- and third-round draft choice.
Any team that trades for Cutler also may have to deal with demands from Cook for a new contract. Cutler has three years remaining on a six-year rookie deal that could yield as much as $48 million.
A 2006 first-round draft choice, Cutler is coming off his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2008. Cutler had a 62.3 completion percentage, tossing 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in a 4,526-yard passing campaign. But the Broncos failed to reach the playoffs for a third consecutive season, leading to the offseason firing of 14-year head coach Mike Shanahan.
The Cutler-McDaniels pairing began to sour when the latter pursued a trade with New England for Cassel. The deal would have sent Cutler to Tampa Bay as part of a three-way trade. Cassel — a McDaniels protege the past four seasons in New England — and Patriots linebacker Mike Vrabel were instead shipped to Kansas City for a 2009 second-round pick.
McDaniels then wasn't able to rebuild a relationship with a quarterback who felt spurned. Cutler was so angry that he never reported for the team's offseason program — a decision that reportedly costing him a $100,000 workout incentive.
Chris Simms, a former Tampa Bay starter signed earlier this offseason, and the untested Darrell Hackney are the only other quarterbacks on Denver's roster. Both are participating in the team's offseason workout program.
LinkBowlen responded quickly with 5 words, "We have the phone records."
Yes Jay Cutler is a tremendous talent, but he is a spolied brat and I have no doubt his agent Bus Cook had a big say in this(Brett Favre's old agent). Probably did all this to get off his rookie deal and get a new contract. I mean without Brett he needs to make some more money some way.
When the Broncos made it clear that they want him to be the quarterback he hides in Nashville and ignores Pat Bowlen and Josh McDaniel's phone calls like a high school girl does when she catches her boyfriend looking at another girl. Then when the Broncos finally meet his demands by trying to trade him. He says he is surprised that the Broncos are trading him this soon? You have got to be kidding me?!? You demanded a trade moron! I can't wait to get this punk off my team. Phillip Rivers had it all right.
Let the bidding begin.

I agree, they need to part ways.
If I had it my way I would trade Jay Cutler & Brandon Marshall for #1 pick, #20 pick & Calvin Johnson.
Draft Aaron Curry #1
Mark Sanchez #12
Tyson Jackson #20
Ron Brace 2nd Round
That would be my dream scenario, but is probably a pipe dream.

Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reports that the Chicago Bears have sent two first-round picks, a third-round pick, and quarterback Kyle Orton to the Broncos for quarterback Jay Cutler and a fifth-round draft pick.
fml, now the Vikings have to face this guy twice a season....

I've heard it was for Orton, this year's first and third rounders, and a 2010 first. Nonetheless, Orton = dog sh*t. Why would we trade for a QB who gets benched every year?

There's a Broncos and NFL forum for this stuff, guys.
