same concept against Mavs as with Hornets.

stay on their shooters and REBOUND.

we'll take them down in 5 if we do that.

I wouldn't really call that optimistic. When you consider that we just raped New Orleans by the biggest margin in playoff history by doing those things, they play a similar style to the Mavs, and we also swept the Mavs in the regular season....I'd say 5 games is a reasonable/logical expectation. Whether that's what it ends up being, who knows....but I'd say it's more optimistic of those who think the Mavs will win the series.

The Mavs will crash the offensive boards against us, so I hope we keep playing on the defensive end until we secure the ball in this series. 2nd chance points can come back and bite a team in the ass. If we rebound on both ends of the floor, we should be fine in this series.

I took the Nuggets in 6 over on the general board, but I did the same thing in the Hornets series, sometimes being wrong is a good thing

Being wrong by one isn't always a bad thing....would it jinx it if I said we'll go 4-0?

Maybe it's safer to say we'll win each game by 4 points.

I don't see a sweep at all. We didn't sweep NO, and we won't sweep Dallas. Dallas is a ton better than the Hornets. We better be ready to go, cause this could be a heck of a series.

Yeah I don't see this being an easy series as well. Dallas played pretty well in knocking off the Spurs, and if the Nuggets take them too lightly then they might throw this series away.

That said, this club has been playing extremely well, doing the things they should do like closing out games, and finally getting the level headed mentality it takes to perform well in the playoffs.

I'm taking Nuggets in 6

The first priority is to defend the home court and head to Dallas with a 2-0 lead.

We can't play the way we did against the Hornets in Game 5 and come out of this game with a win. That middle of the 3rd quarter spurt we were getting in the Hornets series probably won't happen in this series because Dallas has a bench good enough to hold the game in check while there starters get a breather.

The Nuggets need to take it up another notch and make every possession count. We were fortunate enough to get away with some sloppy first half basketball in the last game if we do that against Dallas we might not be as fortunate.

Portland was a textbook example of what happens when you let up on your homecourt. They lost homecourt by getting blasted by Houston in Game 1, and even though they recovered and won on their homecourt after that, it was too late. No letdowns in either of the first two games.

Man, I can't wait for this to get started. It's going to be a fun series.

Melo has been playing great lately, and has pretty much been getting to the rim at will.
If Kenyon contains Dirk like he has done in the past, we'll be in good shape.
We haven't lost at the Pepsi Center in almost two months. Protecting homecourt will be huge, we can't afford to give away one of these first two.

If the refs let the Nuggets play defense the way they did against the Hornets, I don't see this series going past the 5th game, with the Nuggets winning all the games in Denver and taking one if not both in Dallas. If the refs refuse to let the Nuggets play defense, then this could be a long series.

I am glad all of the hype about the celtics/bulls series being the best ever is over with. It wasn't the best for me because I knew all along that the Celtics would win the final game on their floor. What was so special about a series where one team can't beat another team who has half of its frontline out with an injury and you knew who the team moving to the second round would be?

I think the Mavs will have a 4-6 pt lead in the fourth quarter, making the whole Denver fanbase go "what's going on?" but we will storm back and blow them out 40-20 in the fourth.
