AK47

First, I'll just say I'm excited that the Nuggets are going to be in the Western Conference Finals. My brain is just hoping the Rockets and Lakers beat up on each other enough that when they meet the Nuggets (of course it will be the lakers) that they might be tired and off their game for the Nuggets running style.
Anyways I was just reading that AK47's name is back on the block (with the warriors being interested). Just by looking at Utah's cap situation I'm not surprised Ak47 is on the block at all. Just to go over Utah's current contracts. Boozer and Okur should be opting out free agents this summer. I think Korver has an opt out but wont use it making him a free agent in 2010. Harpring will be a free agent in 2010. Same with brewer. Millsap is a free agent this summer. The only big contract on the books in the summer of 2010 is AK47.
I was impressed with how hard Salmons worked on Pierce in the playoffs but am getting over the fact that the Nuggets missed the boat in doing a deal with the Kings this year. Now I know the focus this year is on winning and I'm definiately happy about that. But regardless I won't be happy if the Nuggets don't pursue guys like AK47 in the off season.
Camby Trade Exception + Bobcats future first + OKC's 2nd rounder this year plus expiring contact Hunter for AK47.
Other than that you must re-sign the birdman. I'm sure Karl will want AC back.
I still like my idea of bringing in Rasheed Wallace. He says he will retire if he doesn't get 8 million next year. Well I have changed my tune and don't think he will get it. Sources suggest he might sign with the Spurs for the MLE. But I suspect with the Nuggets current success and former teammate Billups on the roster that Wallace might end up in Denver for the MLE.
If the Nuggets can't score Wallace with the MLE then I'd suggest using the MLE to bring in Andre Miller on a 3 year deal and Ime Udoka on a 3 year deal as well. I've liked Udoka as a role player and he is a .375 career 3 point shooter so I think he will spread the floor better than jones. add Miller as a backup PG and then look to sign and trade Kleiza for a big.
