I don't know how often they are talking about this in the Denver area, but with 1 more win in this series, Chauncey Billups would be playing in his 7th straight Conference Championship.
Isn't that just mind-blowing? I don't know how this guy doesn't get the proper billing he deserves.

Because ESPN and the media types are morons. If a player isn't putting up big stats, he isn't good enough to talk about. Being named Lebron or Kobe helps too.

Chauncey should have won more titles too. In 2005, the Pistons were on the verge of taking command of the series when Rasheed Wallace goof-balled and left Robert Horry wide open to tip the series in the Spurs' favor. He doesn't leave Horry there, Chauncey leads a team to two straight.
Then the Pistons hired Flip Saunders, a guy who had a 10 year record of choking in the playoffs. Chauncey had an MVP season in 2006 and the Pistons were better than the Heat that year IMO. The Pistons went from being a great playoff team to a choking playoff team in one coaching change.
Dumars didn't take the necessary steps to improve the 2004 team that won it all. He kind of just let the parts depreciate and the only guy he added was McDyess. He gave up on Chauncey and now look what's happening...
