When he is having one of the best games of his career on the biggest stage of his career he can not be frozen out of the game because of **** scrubs that want to chuck garbage all night.
When players are that hot you feed them the rock not have your down syndrome SG try to play point guard and turn the ball over 14 possessions in a row.
FAIL.

This is so true on the level of what a role player does on any given night. A player like Melo, Martin, Billups, anyone is having a special night.....you support that player and make sure your mistakes are limited to none. You don't try to mimick and become a superstar. Maybe some other night it would be Jones night or JR's night or AC's night.....but you think, Ariza played crap all game and then made one play at the end that sealed his teams fate for its betterment.
AC played like crap the whole game, and made a mistake that sealed his teams' fate.
All the role player has to do is not make a critical mistake.

AC especially has a hard time passing it to melo, it has been that way for two years, which is just another in a long line of reasons I wish the guy were long gone.

During Melo's 33 point quarter, AC was trying to freeze Melo out too.
Just sick. It seemed like Melo really didn't even play in the 2nd quarter, when he was in the game.

Agreed, he could've easily put up 50 and kept the Nuggets a brush on top.

Wow in my opinion the Nuggets are clearly the better team. The Nuggets lost the game, the Lakers didn't win it. I'm neither a Nuggets or Laker fan but you can honestly tell. I mean if anything the Nuggest should've been rusty and if anything the Lakers shouldn't won by 10 or more since they were at home but neither one happened. Its true though that some role and bench players shouldn't be on the court in critical situations, i would have had JR out there at the end for that inbounds. But either way i think Carmelo Anthony is coming into his own and Kobe clearly can't guard him because he can't bang with him. One thing that annoys me is that you can't guard kobe without having a foul called on you, seemed like everytime he drove he got a foul call or was complaining like a little girl about getting one. Man i hope you guys win this series.

Denver choked and Lakers made critical plays to the end..
The game was fairly called on both ends so stop complaining about foul calls..
Kmart made critical reach in fouls twice on Gasol and once on Kobe near the end. All of them were clear fouls by the way. AC threw away the ball.. JR Smith was not ready for the foul otherwise he would have turned it into in the act of shooting and gotten 3 FT.. They were not able to run any plays to the end for Melo..
The first game was denvers best chance to win on the road because of the long layoff and preparation time.. Thats why George Karl was so upset about the loss..

i'm so tired of AC's consistenly bad play. GK is actually tolerable compared to this guy.
AC wants the spotlight. wants to make the plays. wants to be the go to guy.
i really hope George benches his ass next game during the final stretch.
doubt it happens though.

AC might have choked, Karl might have choked...K-mart's foul was stupid...but overall... it was a good performance besides the aforementioned and free throws... the bench can be better...JR and Birdman especially. Chauncey will not miss 3 free throws in a game again... Sure Melo probably won't shoot that well again...but who can guard him...even Kobe said he's too strong for him. I am not going to be discouraged, I am encouraged. Most Nugget teams haven't been in a true game against the Lakers at Staples. Kobe's experience helped him navigate through the final minutes. The Nuggets will learn from this game...they aren't going to be happy with the outcome. I sold this team short earlier in the season...I didn't think they had the mental toughness, but I was wrong. Does this mean they will win game 2 or the series...no, but I know they still can. Yes, it's a tough loss, but everyone thinks it's the death of the Nuggets...I think it will just give them more fight.
Let's go Nuggets!!!

This is the last evolution Melo needs to go through. When the game is on the line, go get the ball. I mean, literally take it out of AC's hands- push him to the floor- and go dominate.

It was really really nice to see Anthony Carter play only 6 minutes in game 2

Melo's gonna need to score 35 plus for the Nuggets to have a chance tonight.
