Melo is pretty much triple team'd when he gets in the post or drives inside, with the Laker big men coming at him, usually resulting in a dribbling orgy + turnover or a blocked/missed shot. He's having difficulty overcoming the triple team inside, so he should try to work around it. Sometimes he gets a foul, but Melo doesn't consistently get calls even when he gets banged up inside.

Granted he's not hot, Melo should drive and kick to an open shooter. We have more than capable shooters in Billups, Swish and Kleiza, so I think that could work well. I remember a couple of instances where he drove and kicked it out to Swish and Kleiza, which resulted in easy threes. Why doesn't he do this more?

If we could have more plays designed around Melo's driving, wouldn't that make it easier to get shots? Just a thought after seeing Melo drive on back-to-back possessions, leading to missed opportunities.

What's the deal with that? Seems to happen every season eventually.

Melo has been surprising with his shots in key moments, but a lot of the role player on the outside, or outside kicks not able to knock em down. Even Chauncey suddenly subpar.

I know no one is on the Kobe level of knocking shots down....but a higher percentage than we're getting is due big time.

last time he passed more while driving he got pulled over and hit with a dui.

he needs to pass less while driving.
