Lamar Odom

Apparently someone was on the Fan recently, claiming that Warkentien was in LA to talk to Odom. And Odom is far apart in negotiations with the Lakers. Has anyone else heard anything reliable about the Nuggets' interest in Odom?

How could we get him? Sign him for the minimum? S&T with Lakers lol.. I bet the nuggets are interested, but there is no way we can get him

Well, given that the Nuggets' trade exception of $9.8 million is what Odom is trying to get (but I don't think he'll get quite that much), I don't think the question is how they can do it, but rather whether they're interested.

He'd be the prefect backup 4/3 on the team. Will help Karl limit Kmart's minutes to keep him fresher too. They could be in LA telling Odom they'll pay him 9.8 million and hoping he demands LA to S&T him? Don't see why LA would do it though.

They wouldn't unless it benefits them somehow, and I don't blame them for taking such a position. Why would you want to help improve another top team in the division while making your team weaker in the process?

Exactly. That's why I don't see LA doing it. Most likely the best we can hope for is he refuses to resign with LA and he goes somewhere else.

Maybe the Nuggets know something we don't but I see no reasons for the Lakers to do anything to help us get Odom.

Odom has always seemed too inconsistent for me to be willing to giving him a big long contract.

There's no way LAL would aid in a conference rival getting Lamar Odom.

We can't sign him...
and Odom CANNOT play SF anymore. He hasn't played SF in the past 2 seasons.
