The key is to keep the core together, and to keep them healthy.

I personally applaud Melo for doing what he did for team USA and bringing the gold back home, but it's time to pass the touch. I don't want him ending his career early or ending up like Yao. It's not being selfish. He gave 4 summers to his country.

I know Melo is off this summer, but I think he has already committed to 2010 and 2012. Which given the growth of his game from his international playing, I am okay with him doing it every other year.

As for the future, the only thing we really need is a young talented center that can mature into Nene's compliment in the future.

The Kings seem upset with Hawes?

LK (S&T), Hunter, Balkman, 1st for Hawes and Nocioni.

Saves the Kings money and gets them LK!

^This is another Nutty Nats Fan trade, why would the Kings trade Hawes who was their most talented big man last season?

First, Could be argued Thomas was. Second, No it isn't "another" one of my trades. Third, if you couldn't tell that was a joke, you're too dense for the internet.

Laker fan here, you guys have a solid core that will compete for the next 6-8 years.

Lawson, Afflalo, Melo, JR, Nene... all fairly young and durable. Gonna be real scary when Lawson and Afflalo show the league what they can do. I thought you guys got a steal in Lawson in the draft, and now you guys got another steal in Afflalo. Great management on behalf of the Denver Nuggets.

love our core guys but wish they would have used the second round pick on either summers blair or budinger.

Why? It's not like there is any room in the rotation for another rookie. We're a contending team, not Minnesota. We don't have a lot of room or time to be trying to develop a ton of kids while trying to win.

I personally love that record 2.5 million dollar payout that we got for our second.

You guys have too much money tied up into scrubs to build strategically around these players. I also think Affalo is being overrated, and lawson hasn't proved anything yet.

Who exactly are these scrubs you speak off? The only player who could really be called a scrub on the roster is Hunter.

Their entire front court, yes I said it. When I analyze a players worth I look at his production and his salary. Denver has a lot of cash invested in a front court that is above average at best. 11.7 pts 6.0 rbs for a guy who makes 15 mil a season qualifies him as a scrub in my books(Kenyon). If nene can play another 70+ game season with similar or improved numbers from last season then I will remove my scrub title from him.

No Hawes was better last season than Thompson and you almost always joke like Melo.

Jodie Meeks, he shot 53% from behind the arc during the summer league.

Melo doesn't joke, you just see him smiling and laughing because he finds Nutty's jokes so entertaining/amusing.
