I've always liked Joey.
He knocks down perimeter jump shots with decent consistency. He is strong, and can defend well.
He has the ability to get offensive boards that he shouldn't get as a result of his strength, and I honestly think that he's a decent 8th man type of player.
At times he displays low bball iq, making stupid plays defensively. But I've always liked Joey. And I'd love to see him succeed with the Nuggets.

Lots of unknowledgable Raps fan(See the OP) will bash Joey to no end, but ignore them, watch Joey's game, and judge for yourself.

Top 3 center in the league?... Riiiiight. This is why nobody takes Raptor fans seriously.

All I know is, that Joey Graham is easily the best 13th man in the league.

I can see the OP's point. The team's decision to rely on Joey Graham to carry the load offensively and defensively this season, in hindsight, may have been a mistake. But that's generally what 13th men do.

Gay Gay really? You must really impress all the 5th graders in your class. Bargnani is not better than Nene and it's not even debatable.

Nene had the 2nd highest FG% in the league last year, averaged 15 points 7 rebounds and is one of the best post defenders in the league. Did I mention he was on a Western Conference finals team?

Bargnani had the 77 best FG% in the league averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds on the third worst team in the Eastern Conference all while being a horrible defender.

I can understand homers getting a little overheated about their guys, but Bargnani is nowhere near being either a top center or a good contract value. He's soft, he's slow, he's a horrible defender, and he's a pathetic rebounder for his size/position.

There are a lot of NBA fans who look at nothing other than a guy's scoring average. I'm more interested in the team's win column.

First off, yea Nene>Bargs

but

Bargnani is certainly not slow, he may not be a tough guy but he's not "soft" (see Bosh), and his defense isnt horrible. Actually his man to man defense is decent.

If nene only averaged 6 rebounds a game he would be out of town. Hell Melo gets more then that and people still bitch that he needs more. IN fact if just about any other team in the league had their starting center averaging 6 rebounds in 31 mpg they would be pissed, not to mention the 5.3 he averaged throughout the season in 31 1/2 games a year. That number alone means he is not even top 15 let alone a top 3 center in the league.

It's okay. People say Bargnani is a dark horse scoring title champion on the General Board. At some point the season has to start.

Bargs averaged 19 and 6 for the last 47 games...

I think Joey could work out well.

Yes, Joey was garbage for us because our coaching staff didn't know how to use him effectively by asking him to play a role that didn’t suit him well which was playing on the wing, though I think he'll do just fine for the Nuggets.

As long as Graham is spending most of his time in the post offensively and defensively, then he should do very well. His baby hook in the post is automatic and post defense isn't too shabby either. He was our only player last year capable of defending Dwight Howard effectively which tells me that he shouldn’t have a problem dealing with majority of the Centers then.
