If the Nuggets had a coach with some intelligence, easily. Since Karl is coach, who knows.

Just wait until Chauncey gets hurt, and we have to watch a Lawson/Carter backcourt.

This is my fearless prediction, just like people last year who didn't believe when I said Birdman was gonna have a big impact on the 08-09 team.
I think Karl will do the unprecedented and play Lawson a lot this season, I'm talking about 22-25 mpg, and finally putting Carter where he should be: doghouse, strictly as a glue guy on locker room and practices. Lawson is that good...
If Karl could play Boykins that much, he can play Lawson. Okay, that's not my whole reasoning. Lawson is so good and practically unstoppable to get wherever he wants on the court and he has a knack to move the ball to the right place at the right time to keep the offense constantly flowing and running. When he's on the floor, it seems we don't really have to rely too much on one guy (Melo)... he gets people open shots. And if he keeps balancing between creating his shots for his teammates/ himself, he's gonna be hard for any coach to bench.

Why even go there

Someone on the general board said that he was worried about Blake Griffins health and now he has a fractured knee and could miss 6 weeks.

Need some help guys, Ty Lawson or Jeff Teague?
Who will get more playing time and who will have more of an impact on their team?

I really liked Teague, and he was my second choice behind Lawson for the Nuggets to pick up. He is very athletic and has looked very strong in pre-season.
Now answering your question, i would predict that Teague gets more minutes. Lawson should get a lot more considering he should be our second PG off the bench but because of GK's man love, AC gets a lot of minutes. The Hawks can run Teague with Crawford/Johnson/Bibby and he probably would still be effective.
I see Lawson having a bigger impact though. His speed is electric and is a very strong finisher. I am also have homer goggles and love the nugz but still think Teague will do well in ATL.
Ty Lawson better get 15mpg otherwise it will be such a waste of talent.

I'm not sure either guy is going to do much right out of the gate.

Lawson & Blair, co-owners of the "Steal of the draft" picks. What a bargain.

Watchin the 4th Q on espn360... the team is so exciting with Lawson in the game. Every defensive rebound he flies up the court putting pressure on the defense. Alot of guys you see doing that end up forcing things they shouldn't and getting alot of turnovers, but he's one of the most careful and efficient rookies PGs ive seen in a long time. He always makes the right decision. I hope he continues to get significant minutes.

I still don't know if Lawson will average more than 15 mpg, to be honest. Obviously playing like he did last night for these next few games will go along way...but with J.R. coming back, I'm still not sure if Karl will actually have it in him to bench AC. That may not be the only way for Ty to get his minutes, but it would certainly would seem like they should be tied to eachother pretty directly. So far Lawson has shown to be the far superior player, and not only hope that continues, but that he is rewarded for that as well.

The good news is that if Lawson continues to play this well, and AC continues to play the way he does, the pressure will mount to give Lawson minutes. Pretty clear last night that his insertion into the lineup sparked the team.
Contract year for GK, and if he's refusing to play the rookie who looked so good while JR was suspended, the front office won't look too kindly on that.

And to think we could have had the other too.
