Random Tidbits:
:onfire: Carmelo Anthony is second in the NBA in scoring, averaging 32.0 points per game.

 Dwyane Wade is sixth in the NBA in scoring, averaging 29.2 points per game.

:cuddle Only slight truth to the rumor the Heat players made out with each other after they took these photos for their "action shots" on their NBA.com profiles.

 JR Smith is serving game six of a seven game suspension.

:eyebrows: Carrie Underwood performed Monday night on Letterman. She looked good. corona missed it. Sucker.

Ask the Heat... :dontknow:

Dwyane Wade is apparently taking this male model thing pretty seriously. Nobody's been this serious about being a male model since:

If there's one thing AC deserves props for, it's that he generally does a pretty good job defending Wade. I'm thinking this one will be closer than the last few.

As for the game, stay home on shooters, and go to Melo each time on O please... Their best defender for him is Khouba.

I expect 35+ points from Melo this game.

Not sure if AC can handle "blue steel" :)

Good challenge for Nene. I am worried about Wade going nuts on AC!!!

Martin should be ok against Beasley. Melo should have his way with 35+ points or who knows how much more.

They even got a POLL on who will lose first on BOSTON or US at NBA>COM

I have confidence in Nene; JO was hot early on against the weak front court of NY and IND. He pretty much went down to earth afterward against more decent front courts.

You guys notice that Q-Rich has actually been a solid starter for the heat so far, rebounding and hitting open jump shots. Thought he was Q-brick :p

We have owned the Heat for the past 3-4 seasons now, I believe our record against them are like 8-0 in the last 8 games? Can someone look it up?

Heat will be good opponent to test us, but still they are young team. Unless D FLASH Wade go for 40+ game we will be safe. AC does good job against him BUT he is not a man to trust, especially now that GK's cozy feeling for AC could cause some effects. This is where we miss DJ not that i am ignoring what i have seen in AA which is clearly better choice cause he got offense and uses his brain on D but at the same time DJ was solid defender.

b2b Atlanta will test our might. no kidding. Then we get JR back.

*Heat fan*

Wade has started going to the post on smaller covers this year with good success, I expect that with Carter. Should be something to look for.

Melo has been on a tear, so we're probably just hoping to hold him under 30.

good luck, I expect a good game.

Is Birdman healthy this year or will he just be losing out on playing time?

That is accurate. The last loss to Miami was in '04.

Interesting spread for tonight game. The Nuggets started out the slight favorites, but it appears most of the books have moved to Miami being slight favorites.

Melo vs Wade!!!! Game should be epic, hopefully the rest of the Nugs come ready to play cause we are an overall better team. Tough to win on the road though against a guy who can dominate a game like Wade can.

2 more till JR returns

How have games turned out on the over/under when Denver plays? It seems like we are scoring very well as a team overall. Actually the Nuggets are the current league leaders averaging 115.4/game, next is the Suns at 111.2/game.

Our opponets are averaging 101.8/game for a per game +/- of +13.6, which is second in the league behind Boston, the Nuggets at this current moment are the 2nd best team in basketball according to this stat. Last year this stat, for the most part, predicted the playoff teams and their seeding.

As a fan of the team, a person has to be impressed with some of the numbers they are putting up.

Tonight's game:

Denver has won eight straight against the Heat overall and five in a row at Miami.

Hopefully history will continue to repeat itself again tonight.

Billups averaged a team-leading 22.0 points on 56.7 percent shooting versus the Heat in 2008-09. The point guard is scoring 21.0 points a game this season.

Billups put up good numbers against them last year, so he must like the matchup's he see's.
The Heat are one of the top defensive teams in the league according to this yahoo preview that I am reading, they hold opponents to 91.7 points/game, which is good for 7th in the league.

The Nuggets are 4-1 against the spread so far this season. Memphis was the only game they didn't cover (won by 10, spread was 10.5).
