Realistically, Nene and Chauncey have no shot at starting. Melo should be able to hold on to the top forward spot, barring injury or unforeseen circumstance.

That's a very good return for Nene. Dude needs consistency and needs to psych himself up to play tougher every moment. His capability is much better than his results thus far.
Good to see Melo turn that corner in popularity. He's obviously doing more things right.

Why the hell is T-Mac on the ballot?

Just shows how stupid All-Star voting is. Coaches need to vote for everyone, even the starters.

I'm not a proponent of taking the fan vote entirely out of it, obviously in the end, it's an exhibition game for the fans. I think some combination of fan vote, coaches/player vote, and media vote would be better. It would help keep people like T-Mac, who shouldn't even be in the conversation, out of it, but the fans would still get most of the players they vote for.
Let's not act like coaches or the media are saints at deciding all-star teams. It's because of these tools that the Pistons had four all-stars a few years back. Nobody wants to watch a combination of two or three of the best teams in each conference play each other. That drives me absolutely nuts.

There should be a pre-game ceremony where Nate Robinson gets to slap/dunk on anyone who doesn't deserve to be there.

For Nene to be third right now is actually kind of surprising. Not that he doesn't deserve to be in that spot, because he definitely does(if not higher)....it's just crazy that fans actually voted him there. Most people outside of Denver have never even heard of him.

He had a strong showing following his bout with cancer. I'd say that wins over a lot of peoples' minds. I know it won over mine.
I am grateful every day he is on our roster and that has nothing to do with our glaring need for another big. I prefer to see the aggressive, powerful nene, not the float around the basket and miss a layup nene.
The vote is definitely a surprise because whoever is voting I am guessing is voting every day.
Nene doesn't have a huge corner to turn to be considered an all-star, but he still needs to turn the corner.

You can just fly to China and start slapping everybody you see.

They also love Melo - so a slap for TMac would be a slap for Melo?
