With the Nuggets not making a trade for a big, who if waived would you guys look to add?

Kenny Thomas was waived by the Kings....

There is discussion about the following players getting bought out also:

Tony Battie (Nets)
Drew Gooden (Clips)
Update:
Brian Cardinal cut by the Knicks

Would love to get one of Big Z, Gooden, Battie in that order.

Though I doubt we have any chance of Big Z or Gooden, but we do have a good shot at Battie.

Was a fan of Kurt Thomas... not anymore.

If Battie is healthy I would much rather have him then Gooden. Battie has size, understands who he is, and is a much better defender. Z I am not sure about, with his slow feet and horrible history of covering pick and roles, I am split on adding him.

Battie does play pretty good defense even at his current age. Big Z might be a liability on defense, but he wouldn't be a liability on the offensive end, is the trade off worth it?

Well the offensive end is well taken care of between NENE, KMART, and MELO. Another defender seems to be what you need. Between Tomy Battie and Chris Anderson you have 12 fouls and some good defense. You would not be able to get both in a waiver wire guy.

Looks like Big Z will listen to a Nuggets offer as per wiretap. I think he would be fine, love his ability to hit j's and he can still rebound some.

Battie wouldn't be a bad fit either, he's a dirty-work big who can still D it up as people have already said on this thread. I think both could add something good to the team. Battie hasn't been waived yet though and I haven't seen any updates on his situation for like 2 and a half weeks...

Battie will go to Boston if gets a buyout. Magic would want him too.

Fanhouse reports we're working out Brian Cook and Jake Voshkul.

lol... Voshkul in the past was a good defender/rebounder but terrible offensively. Cook USED to be a good shooter.
