hard to tell at this point, its only two games in, can't judge off that, need to wait till the players get adjusted to their new teams system.
one thing i've been wondering, i would like to see rashard lewis on this team. just a thought.

I don't think the addition of Jamison is going to hurt them any in the long run, but the 30 day wait for Big Z to return, which hasn't started yet probably will because Shaq is going to have to pick up the majority of those vacated minutes.
I still don't get why they needed another PF: They have Varejao, Hickson, Powe and now Jamison along with a couple of young players who can also play the position. It seems like a logjam at that position to me.

They essentially got him for nothing, so it's hard to say it was a bad trade for this year. I think it will take a little while for the chemistry to build. I also agree the added minutes for Shaq will hurt in the short term, and perhaps going into the playoffs as he won't be as fresh as they might like.
The thing I don't like about the trade is that Jamison doesn't have a very friendly contract. Which is only going to look worse in the next few years, as he gets older, and the contract gets bigger.
I also don't like the resign Z in 30 days, but I guess its within the rules, so whatever.

Yeah... they give up nothing for a guy who does some things nobody on their roster can do. They'll resign Z. How could that be a bad trade?
They'll figure it out. Every team has losing streaks.

they ran into a very good motivated team without jamison, then had a b2b road game after losing in overtime (look what happened to denver in that b2b situation), and then played another top team on the road.
hardly enough to say its not a good trade.
They have Varejao, Hickson, Powe
those are just energy players though. jamisons actually skilled.
they'll be fine, and will probably win a championship this season.

Slap yourselves both of you.
We DEN will get out of WEST to Face CLE then FINALS will be bloodbath matchup between Bron and Melo. Hard to guess sports and even harder to guess this one!

You guys have a great shot at making the Finals, and by the chance we make it too (no lock), I'd hate to see the Nuggets. The mismatch is there. KMart and Nene always play huge, you guys seem much quicker overall, Melo can do anything offensively LeBron can, then JR Smith shoots lights out, and I didn't even mention Big Shot. In a series DEN clearly has the coaching advantage.
The Cavs should be fine. Ilgauskas will be back. I dont like the rule, and I think they'll change it this offseason, but it is what it is. I didn't like relying on Mo for our second option, Jamison only helps. Powe is coming back, we may somewhat continue to struggle 'till all the pieces are here and healthy. Mike Brown has to figure out a solid rotation. If we do gel at the right time, we should be the favorites for the East.
Hope you can take out LA, but I'd rather see the Cavs face the Lakers for our sake.

As far as Big Z goes...
The Nuggets are making a strong push to acquire coveted big man Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who will likely be bought out by the Washington Wizards soon.
"There hasn't been a day go by that I haven't heard from Mark (Warkentien, the Nuggets vice president of basketball operations)," said Herb Rudoy, Ilgauskas' agent. "He had a great relationship with 'Z' (back in Cleveland). Mark has been very aggressive to convince me to convince 'Z'."
Ilgauskas is currently at his home in New York City, waiting to hear what happens next. He was traded by Cleveland near the trade deadline to the Wizards. And the plan is for the former all-star center to get bought out of his contract so he can sign with a contender.
"He wants to win a championship," Rudoy said.
The Nuggets have a coveted facet to this deal, too — the biannual exception, which pays a player $1.99 million. That's what Denver would use on the center, if the center agrees to sign with Nuggets, the No. 2 team in the Western Conference.
The Washington Post reported that the 34-year-old Ilgauskas could land in Dallas, Utah, Atlanta or back in Cleveland. If he signs with a team by March 1, he can be on the playoff roster, which is obviously the plan.
Rudoy said a decision could happen within the next week as his client feels out all the possibilities.
"He has a lot emotionally invested," the agent said.
The 7-foot-3 big man averages 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds this season.
