West Playoffs prediction

Post#1 » by SnakefromHell » Sat Feb 27, 2010 11:35 am

Assuming Nuggets secure #2 seed, who do you want in Round #1 and #2?

Personally, I think seeding at end of season is:

1. LA Lakers
2. Denver
3. Dallas
4. Utah
5. Oklahoma City
6. Phoenix
7. San Antonio
8. Portland

That first round Utah and OKC would be spicy... I think that series goes to 6 at least, or 7. Utah is playing very well, but OKC is too. I wouldn't be surprised if Utah slips a little and OKC keeps winning and ends up #4 seed.

We'll beat San Antonio, then in Round 2 we meet our ol pal Dallas, who beats Phoenix.

Now I'd rather face Utah/ OKC in Round 2, and let LA and Dallas beat each other up in Round 2 before meeting us in Round 3/ WCF. But Dallas is not likely to slip to #4. But either way, I am confident our team can beat Dallas, then bring on the Lakers.

Here's hoping the seeding goes like:
1. LA Lakers
2. Denver
3. Utah
4. Dallas

or...

1. Denver
2. LA Lakers
3. Dallas
4. Utah

Just so we can see LA and Dallas waste each other in Round 2 before we meet them :D but I kno these scenarios are unlikely...

Hope we get #1 seed tho regardless...

Assuming those are the 8 teams....I'd like San Antonio in the first round, and then Utah in the second round.

Although I still don't think the 8 teams are completely decided. NO/HOU/MEM aren't that far behind, and POR/SA/PHX could easily drop back(mostly San Antonio).

And of course, getting the #1 seed would be nice as well, but unlikely.

Too early to start looking at matchups. And if the Nuggets want to be considered championship contenders, it shouldn't matter who they play in the first or second round. Whoever we matchup with we should be favored, and we should expect to win.

Hell, that number 2 spot is not secured for the Nuggets. Our schedule gets easier over the next six weeks while your schedule gets a little tougher.

No ****? I thought the Nuggets wrapped up the #2 seed yesterday, by losing to the Lakers.

Obviously it's up in the air. I think people just have confidence the Nuggets will get the job done. If they slip to #3 though, the matchups don't change, just HC in the second round changes.

You've been a member for almost eight years, and yet it seems like you've been a basketball fan for about ten minutes. You're all jazzed up that your team is on a little winning streak, while the Nuggets have dropped a few games, so you're going to go parading around various boards making out with yourself. As if the Nuggets didn't clean the Mavs' clocks in the playoffs last year, beat them by thirty a couple weeks ago, and generally have their number. I know, I know. Brendan Haywood!!!!!! After all he's accomplished in the league, it changes everything!!!!! I'm sure that's going to help Jason Kidd stay with Chauncey, Jason Terry guard anybody, and everybody else on the team not be soft and overall anti-playoff like. Could the Mavs be better than the Nuggets? It's certainly possible. They're a good team, and they're clearly improved. I guess we'll see in the playoffs. Try not to blow your load before then, those games are pretty important. Not as important as the games in late February, I know, but humor me.

I'd rather put my head down into a Port-O-Let for about four days than continue this mind-numbingly stupid conversation with you. You're about a troll and a half.

You are a funny guy. Now it is true that I like the new version of the Mavs, but I made my prediction based upon the remaining schedules. U see, it doesn't seem like your team gets up for anyone except the Lakers anymore which we know will cause some losses down the line. Oh yeah, if you want to toot your own horn for last years playoffs, go ahead. You did good LAST YEAR. It doesnt mean anything this year. And as far as what you think about on the Port-O-Let, think about how your team is now in third place in the Western Conference.
