We're %$%^&ED!!!!

Post#1 » by SnakefromHell » Sat Mar 6, 2010 2:33 am

Denver Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin(notes) has a partial tear of his left patella tendon, and surgery is among the treatment options being considered, NBA sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Martin was scratched from Friday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers and the Nuggets will use the next 48 hours to decide on a treatment plan. Rest, therapeutic injections and surgery are among the options that could be used to treat an injury commonly referred to as “jumper’s knee.”

If it's surgery, we're totally &^%%*(ed..

It always amazes me even when he was still healthy, that the team would depend their season on two pairs of surgically repaired knees in Nene's and KMart's. And while Nene is healthy this season, Bird's hurting...

Depending our team's season on such injury-probe guys is like counting on Keon Clark's toothpick legs to support a Shaq body size and weight. It's so stupid...

If it's surgery that means, he's out of season. Considering this team takes vacation when it comes to defense without him, this is absolutely terrific. Should a first round exit finally make the front office do something to acquire a big? I know they tried to acquire some bigs UNsuccessfully... but you can't just say, "yeah we tried you know..." It's like saying, "yeah we tried winning a championship you know"... **** bnbabsbasjkf&(*(*

Oh Lord NOOOOO!

LET'S HOPE It AIN'T GONNA REQUIRE A SURGERY. HIM OUT WE ARE NOT GONNA GET FAR. NO KIDDING,

Karl and Front office done nothing on BIGS depth. Karl never plays Balkman & Petro. FO done jack sh###t on adding a BIG but FO didn't have much options but Karl had!!!!

LET'S PRAY THAT HIS KNEE DOES NOT REQUIRE A SURGERY! IT DOES NOT LOOK REAL BAD BANG TO A KNEE, BUT I AM NOT A DOC SO,.....

What's in my mind now:

1. Hoping Z will reconsider his decision, with KMart out, there's no doubt he'd get the starting C position if he signs, and Nene sliding to PF. Our fortune would be reversed in an instant :( unlikely but stranger things have happened...

2. I'm grateful though, the Lakers are on the road so much this month (check their schedule, they only have 3 home games this month out of 12-13 games).. and they just lost back to back to Miami and Charlotte, the gap is getting smaller... so in an unlikely situation, we could be #1 seed when it's all said and done.

3. I'm also convinced Billups will be one of the firsts to realize Nene and Bird's load has just gotten bigger and heavier that he'd urge the rest of the teammates, namely from guard positions to help out the bigs in rebounding... I'm convinced we can somehow get the rebounding department covered... on the other hand...

4. Our defense will undoubtedly suffer. I can't imagine Melo yelling and screaming on the defensive end instructing his teammates... Billups can, but his output has little to do with frontcourt players' roles...

5. But championship teams are known to have gone through some adversity... fights in locker room, tragedies, dramas, and now injuries. We can see now when the going gets really tough the heart of this team...

At this point our best case scenario is Kmart sitting an extended amount of time and coming back in the Playoffs.

Karl has no faith in Petro or Balkman and with 2 open roster spots we gotta pick up somebody. Birdman will be hurting the rest of the year and without kmart his minutes will increase and his options to sit will disappear. We have a bunch of b2b's down the stretch, no way bird plays the entire rest of the way.

Melo sat out all that time with that ankle injury and Kmart had to over exert to keep us above water, really coming back to bite us in the butt now.

This news really hurts.

Agreed... depending on Bird and Nene to carry the load and playing them like 35-38 mpg... might as well bring out the sledgehammer and shatter their knees now... it's what they're doing. Considering how frail Bird's frame is I have concern about the many more minutes he has to shoulder and Nene's knee also blew out 4 years ago... so he's not exactly an iron man.

I just hate the thought of these guys having to play more minutes... they really have to bring in someone (WHO KARL ACTUALLY GODDAMN PLAYS)

I really hope the L found out there's a wink wink agreement between Cavs and Wizards, they stop Z from going back to Cavs this season, and he has to sign with us

First of all..... First of all....... Win today brought me no joy at all when i saw the news on K Mart.

If /knock on wood big time/ K Mart goes through surgery, Z becomes emergency ultimate available piece and who knows Z might want to be on contending team starting Center rather than a bench guy, but he might pick cle just to have a shot at a ring.

At the end FO knew our lack of depth in Front line and still done nothing ..... tells me they are not targeting big goal this year. They are retracting for 2010 MEGA FREE AGENCY punch IMO.

What is going to happen I DO NOT KNOW. There is a saying... Everything happens for a reason. Who knows what.........

Amazing how Denver had this big TPE and there were players avialable to grab with it, to help increase the front court depth, allow Kmart to play less minutes, etc.. and instead Stan wanted to save money and not win a title.

Wonderful. :D

^Yeah for once in a while I agree with you. Screw Stan man.

Jay you know what you're right, everything happens for a reason... just praying it's a good one for us.

I'm so seeing blowouts and spankings we'd give to the Lakers when we're fully healthy... healthy KMart, healthy Ty, AAA clamping down on Kob... dammit :( I sort of want to cry now... why either they get the luck or we get the bad luck...??

Still, Kmart shouldn't even be in this situation. It was obvious to everyone that more depth was needed so Kmart wouldn't have to play as much and could get rest when needed.

Hopefully he can come back healthy for the playoffs and the Nuggets can roll.

No we couldn't have. Denver traded away all of its trading chips to get under the luxury tax last season.

This kinda looks like a Melo Moment at this point. He's the best international 4 in the world. I think the Nuggies need him to start at the 4 spot. You need JR & Bird off the bench so I think you'd almost have to sign Larry Hughes. Other than that all you can really do is a D-League callup to hold down the end of the bench until (if) Kmart gets back. If he's not going to be able to go you need a game plan than doesn't involve playing Nene and Bird all game. That likely means Melo moves to the 4.

Nene, Birdman, Petro, Barron?
Melo, Balkman, Allen, Kmart (out)
Hughes, Graham
AA, JR
Billups, Lawson, Carter
I like my prospects the same way I like my women... foreign- pickIBL

What a season. I wanna call this one "season of injuries", lot of teams suffering much more injuries this year.

Nuggets coach George Karl said he didn't have "enough information'' and didn't want to speculate about the health of Martin, who has been the team's defensive backbone all season. But Karl said he's "hoping everything is going to be OK.''

Karl hoping....... I wish FO learns to 'Plan for the worst and hope for the best" out of this situation. Hate to bring the past all the time but we really should have kept that Lithuanian PERIOD.

Unless we get Z, other big men out there are all trash. We better off with Petro at C slide Nene down to 4 and deal with it. Melo can play between 3 & 4. Petro shown some kind of signs, it is a shame that Karl does not rotate enough guys to take these types of hit.

WE ALL JUST NEED TO KEEP ON PRAYING FOR K MART!!!! HE NEEDS A BREAK GOD! CMON!!!!

^I'd rather see us sign me and I get thrown rotten eggs on the court than us sign Larry Hughes :)

I also wish we go after Corey Brewer (next Scottie Pippen!) in the summer. That guy is so long... so athletic, great defender and can shoot. Trade J.R. for Brewer and Love!
