Kmart will return this season

I know I am not supposed to post an entire article, so I will leave part of it out (there is basically only another sentence or two), but the news is still good:
Nuggets' Kenyon Martin will return this season
By Benjamin Hochman
The Denver Post
Kenyon Martin will miss some time due to his knee injury, but the Nuggets power forward plans to return at some point either in the regular season or the postseason, a league source said.
It is unclear yet whether or not Martin will undergo some sort of surgery for his left knee patella tendonitis. Numerous physicians are consulting the results and Martin will likely hear soon from his primary knee doctor, Richard Steadman of Vail.

I think this article is a little premature, and typical Post reporting.....
If he has yet to consult with Steadman regarding whether or not he needs surgery - then how can he conclusively say if he'll be back or not?
Sorry to put a damper on this, but it's not 100%. With that said, I AM happy that we have Petro - he's better than I thought and should get the bulk of Kmart's minutes while he is out...and I like the Petro/Nene lineup....

It's Kenyon. If there is an option that is going to allow him to play basketball in the playoffs, he is almost certainly going to take that option. That's why I've never really been worried about this as far as the postseason is concerned.

That news made my day! I am happiest man ALIVE!!!!!
Now Petro needs to use this opportunity to become our back up big! heck who knows if he can continue to provide good post D with decent job on board even better with him at C slide Nene down to 4 keep K Mart fresh down the stretch.
I ll pray Karl start to hope on this youngster!

Or this line up against the Lakers.
Nene, Kmart, Petro, Melo, and Billups.
Kmart and Melo can take turns guarding Kobe, Melo has actually done well on him in the past. And Kobe is stuck having to defend Melo or Kmart. Or put Ty in at PG and tell him to attack attack attack and shoot or pass off.

We got sized up starting line with speedy bigs.

If we had Voshkul, and then paired him with Allen....we could have some epic stat lines being thrown out in a single game.
http://basketbawful.blogspot.com/2009/0 ... skuhl.htmlAllen is actually one of the few players to contribute a Voshkul this season...having the real thing would be even better.

AC has pulled a couple of Voshkul's this season as well. On Jan 11th vs Min AC went for 1 pt, 2 TO, and 3 fouls in 18 minutes. How Allen and AC even get minutes is beyond me. I understand cause of an injury to Ty, but i would rather Balkman out there running the point then worthless AC. Allen should never get mins over Petro, get that grandpa out of there.
Anyway i really hope the plasma treatment helps out Kmart. He is a warrior and i hope he is back and ready to go around playoff time.

Brian Cooks shooting could open up the post more for Melo and Nene.... Always kinda wanted to see Melo with a 4 that could really stretch the floor. We'll see. I still would like to see Petro emerge into a decent 4th big.

Brian Cook won't be seeing the floor during regular minutes I'd imagine, barring further injuries/foul trouble.

Cook is alright just need to be on the floor with other good defenders!
I assume Petro is going to get most out of this chance to shine! On the other hand K Martin's health and J.R's maturity is crucial to our success. Nice passing J.R shown in that last game. He can do those things if he is focused and having a will to do so.
To all Nuggets fans: LETS GET ROLLING FELLAS

STACK THEM WINS UP! LAL IS SLIPPING AND I HAVE NO FEAR FOR DAL.

Voshkuhl would be decent for some defense and hustle. Cook cant defend or rebeound but can somewhat shoot. who cares they both suck.

Besides bad PG's, Karl is also gay for a big man who can shoot. In his mind Allen can, if he believes Cook can too, Cook will be playing ahead of Petro.
Why can't the FO actually bring in a younger guy who could like, ya know, develop? Oh wait.. they know their coach.

I am very intruiged by a 39% 3pt career big playing alongside Melo.

I'll be more intrigued if he can still do that.

Guys better than nothing!
I don't see why he can be some type of a mediocre defender when he is focused. CB will make sure to have him focused on the D.
