Our savior will sign with us!!!

Post#1 » by SnakefromHell » Wed Mar 10, 2010 1:41 am

Brian Cook!!! Z who? Brian Cook!!!

According to Hoopshype anyway... this just darkens the depth of my day darkness. Dude plays no D, and stands outside the perimeter like he's Channing Frye, except he's not Channing Frye. He's...

Brian Cook!!!

Who cares, Petro is our 4th big and Allen is 5th, Cook won't see any playing time.

Everyone is better then Allen. ****, if I were blessed with being 6'8, I would be a better option then Allen.

This doesn't register with you guys, does it?

We need a BIG... we need someone who helps the Bird, Nene downlow... to box out the Gasols and Bynums out of the paint and give ourselves a chance to grab the ball. To give us more size. Not the ability to score... we don't need more scoring.

I understand Cook has the ability to draw Gasol out of the paint with his three point shooting, and that can be valuable. However, kid has a rep for showing up in practice and not in real games  Wtf does it matter?

He can't rebound, he doesn't play D, he doesn't "protect" the paint... if he's in our playoffs rotation, those teams (Dallas, Utah, LA), will dare him to shoot. Although Melo is not a better 3pt shooter than Cook is, safe to say these teams would rather give Cook an open look than Melo.

Unless he turns around, works hard, and has the season of his career, I doubt he'll help us.

Come one man, this is genius. Cook is the key to beating the Lakers. After Kobe's **** ass gets one look at our Cookie on the court, he will get weak at the knees and will be useless to them. Problem solved.

Who exactly would you recommend to help dominate the paint... on the waiver wire... in March...

I'm not saying "dominate" but "help"

And Cook is exactly the opposite of that help. I was thinking more of Voshkul who is a dirty dirty worker and rebounder... than Cook. He would definitely help Bird/ Nene in being physical in the paint, grab boards more than Cook would. I'd agree that Cook has more talent offensively than Voshkul but again offense is not what we need. We can already score. Again, Cook is not consistent to the point he would stretch the defense.

I think Karl thought Cook could be Rashard Lewis or something...

Simply, right now I'm not sold on Cook unless he nails three pointers in season and playoffs :D

39% must be the percentage he knocks down in garbage time/ practice...

the 61% comes in real games...

I didn't know they counted shots you shoot in practice into your FG%. That's badass.
