What is Rowand and his agent smoking?

Well it is worth a shot. No way he should get that, but I don't see a problem with Rowand's agent trying to get more than others think.

Seems cheap relative to contracts given out last year. He's better than Carlos Lee, and Lee got 16 million more over 6 years.

Still doesn't mean he's worth it, though.

He's more valuable then then Lee to certain teams because he plays CF and Lee is just terrible int he field but Lee is by far a better bat then Rowand.

C'mon. In both 06 and 05 he posted OPS' of less than .750. This is clearly a contract year performance. He doesn't stack up to Lee, and I'm not a Lee fan.

Getting ridiculous ???

Was Kevin Brown setting the tone in 1999 or the winter of 2000 with A-Rod, Manny, Mussina, Hampton not ??? Or Boston paying money just to talk to a guy who's not all that dominant ?? I know those guys were/are highly productive and all, but still...

It's been ridiculous for years now...

you mean tim pupura spent 100 million on lee and plus pence is best suited as a corner outfielder.

In regards to Hunter Pence:

Send him to _________, he'd be a good fit between (insert LF) and (insert RF).
