Nats trade for OF Elijah Dukes

Post#1 » by Rafael122 » Mon Dec 3, 2007 8:36 pm

Uhm...wtf? This guy, from all accounts is a major headcase. I hope Bowden didn't trade Cordero or Rauch for him.

Update: Dukes to the Nationals for a player to be named later.

Damn, only a PTBNL. Not a bad deal for the Nats.

Another good deal by the Nats, assuming the PTBNL is crap like they usually are.

Rotoworld is reporting Glenn Gibson is the PTBNL. Nice numbers in short season ball but is a long way away from really being a factor. Nice value for someone who should be committed. mahalo

The Rays have washed their hands of Dukes.

After his horrible off field display last year, he was never going to be welcomed back by the Tampa Bay community.

Very talented, but not a very instinctive player.

K's too much, and wasn't very good in the OF.

Will produce some dingers though.

A change of scenery was totally needed for him to continue his MLB career.

Still, I'm sure the Rays had wished for a better outcome than this.

good trade by the nats, like one poster said already if he gets his attitude straight he could be a decent player.
