Post#1 » by Triangle Theory » Wed Feb 13, 2008 7:07 am

WASHINGTON -- Roger Clemens told Yankees teammate Andy Pettitte nearly 10 years ago that he used human growth hormone, Pettitte said in a sworn affidavit to Congress on Tuesday.

You missed the best part...

Pettitte said in the affidavit that he asked Clemens in 2005 what he would do if asked by the media about HGH, given his admission years earlier. According to the account told to the AP, the affidavit said Clemens responded by saying Pettitte misunderstood the previous exchange in 1999 or 2000 and that, in fact, Clemens had been talking about HGH use by his wife in the original conversation.

do you guys think he's lying? I honestly cant believe he would lie, knowing he could go to jail just for "his name" to be clean of steroids talk...Although all the evidence points to him lying, hes gotta be telling the truth or else he will go to jail...

Clemens is testifying right now with McNamee sitting 2 seats away from him. High drama. Through his answers he's basically calling McNamee and Pettitte liars.

Who cares if his wife used HGH? It was a legal product when she's accused of using it. There's no bus.

HGH was legal until 2005. Steroids were and still are only legal with a prescription.
