I agree. I also have no problem with people in Saudi Arabia having their wives stoned for committing adultery, as it is legal there.

Legality does not equal morality, dumbass.

Edit:
Hey, it let me call you a dumbass. Sweet.

Leaglity does not equal morality, sure but we are not talking about Saudi Arabia. There is a difference between human lives and two roosters, bottom line I dont care about roosters. If its legal there then why not try and do something about it? Bottom line is that you dont care enough to, like Americans dont care about two simple roosters. Your culture does not dictate culture in other countries.

Morality is not something that everyone in the world agrees on... right? So there is no clear guideline we are supposed to follow and it varies in every person.

TWO ROOSTERS...
Lets make an issue.

You are really just proving my point here.

PETA does care about roosters and is trying to do something about it, so you telling them to shut up was pretty stupid. They should be free to think he is a bum for doing it, because according to their morals he is doing something horrible.

You're right, but as I said earlier, the PETA people will not put 1/16 of the effort into Pedro that the put into Vick because dogs are cuter than roosters. That is why I hate them. I honestly couldn't care less if Pedro is into cockfighting, though.

Maybe they won't, but to be fair to them, dogs aren't just cuter, they also have a much higher level of cognition then roosters. I mean, imagine if someone was implicated in a monkey fighting ring. There would be more outrage then against Vick; would you feel that was unjustified?

I had a hard time replying because all I can think about is a monkey fighting ring. That's a good point, and I would expect dogs to get more attention than roosters, but the "outrage" against Pedro won't even be in the same universe. People were camping out at the GA Dome with their signs and chants, turning in their season tickets, calling for Vick to be banned from the league and put away for life, talking out against him every chance they got, etc. People were still hating on the Falcons long after they supsended him.

I may be wrong, but I think most PETA members would tell you that all animals are the same.

To your second point first: I don't know about most, but I agree it would be a large percentage.

But to your first point, there is another factor in play: Michael Vick paid for a dog fighting ring, while Pedro put a rooster in a cockfighting circle. So not just cognizance is different; the act is greatly so.

according to my morals, the things PETA has done are far worse than anything vick or pedro have ever done, so i'm gonna go ahead and tell them to STFU.

How barbaric! Pedro and his cockfighting friends should have just sliced their heads off, skinned them, dismembered their bodies, cooked their flesh, and ate them.
