That being said, the Tigers will turn it around and the White Sox will end up in 3rd place in a tough AL Central.

This winter the White Sox improved their offense with the addition Swisher and Cabrera. They enter a solid lineup that terribly underachieved last year. The Sox also improved their bullpen with Linebrink and Dotel, but their pitching staff is nowhere as good as it was in 2005.

I should actually compare this White Sox team to the 2006 team since that team finished with a solid record but finished behind Detroit and Minnesota.

God I hope not. That team had one of the worst collapses I have eve seen.

This year's club has 4 significant offensive upgrades (Swisher, Cabrera, Quentin, and a healthy Crede) and a better bullpen. If the back end of the rotation holds up, they'll be very, very good. It's a lot to ask a 3/4/5 of Contreras/Danks/Floyd to do that, though.
