Is Chipper Jones a HOF player?

Post#1 » by Mak » Mon Aug 17, 2009 4:52 am

Simple question. I'm really not sure what to expect.

Code: Select all

Career highlights and awards

    * World Series champion (1995)
    * 6x All-Star selection (1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2008)
    * 2x Silver Slugger Award winner (1999, 2000)
    * Most Valuable Player Award winner (1999)
    * NL Batting Champion (2008)

Career stats so far, not including this season.

Code: Select all

Definitely. He's arguably been the most consistent player of the last 15 years. If he had been totally healthy the last four seasons he probably would've been at, or very close, to 500 HRs and 2500-600 hits.

Nope. His numbers are inflated from playing the Mets so much.

Can't disagree with a single response and i would add he may have a good 3 years left (could easily DH in the American league) and he looks to be one of the few guys of this era that has done it steroid free. Let's hope.

His numbers definitely seem worthy but 6 all-star games seems a little low for a HOF. Not that that should mean anything. Just weird.

Yeah I agree,he's been overlooked for whatever reason. I actually think he didn't make the All-Star team for his MVP season.
