Fine, the team was home grown. That doesn't change the fact that the Yankees have money to keep all of their core players while other teams don't and then provide the home grown players with the top players in free agency.

Well lets be honest that home grown talent wasn't going to win **** without buying the three guys this past offseason. Other teams have done as well or better than the Yankees in the home grown area. But of course those teams can't afford Tex, CC, and Burnett.
