Barry Bonds Retirement
I know I laughed when I heard the so called news earlier today. I'm pretty sure the 2 seasons off and federal charges tipped us off about his playing status. My question is how well do you think he would do DH'ing for the Yankees or another contender?

Re: Barry Bonds Retirement
It's hard to say how he would really do given his age and all that time off. On the other hand he was still one of the best hitters in the league when he last played... I kind of doubt that all of that ability has vanished.
Bonds is a generational talent that became the scapegoat for a crackdown on drug abuse in a league where cheating, in one way or another, has been present from the getgo. I'm glad I got to see him play, even if these a-holes with cushy jobs at failing newspapers aren't.

I wouldn't want him on the Yankees because of all the bad press but damn, he would mash in Yankee Stadium....

It's hard to see Barry go even with all the crap he went through. Still gotta give the guy credit for what he did steroids or no steroids he still needed to make contcat with the ball and give it enough power yo get out of the stadium . It will be hard to think he has nothing to do with baseball any more but it's also good that we don't have to deal with his legal crap
