Vlad to Rangers

Post#1 » by CentralQB5 » Sun Jan 10, 2010 5:15 am

ESPN sources have reprted that the Rangers and Vlad have come to an agree ment on a 1yr 6mil dollar contract. Good move for Rangers abd could this move help them get over the hump and make a playoff push?

The AL West is wide open this year so yeah the Rangers have a good shot at making the playoffs.

Look at Vlad's career numbers at Arlington:
.394 .471 .705 1.175 :o :o

Rangers are my pick to win the AL West if they stay healthy.

Mariners are going to be a damn good team this year and I won't rule the persistent Angels team. Mariners have a great team built around pitching and defense now.

It should be noted that he faced Rangers pitching when putting those numbers up.

Vlad was pretty mediocre last year but there's a decent chance he has a bounceback year. Better option than going through with the Lowell deal, probably.

Vlad is still a dangerous hitter capable of .300, 25 HRs, and 90 RBIs easily. Great signing by the Rangers.

great sigining by the Rangers. Vlad's still a solid hitter and will be a solid contributor for them.
