We're far enough into the season that the "huh, that's unusual" performances of some players have reached the "what the ****, that's just not right" threshold. Some to start:
- After hitting another six tonight, the Jays are averaging 1.67 HRs/game, which puts them on pace for 271 on the season. The '97 Mariners hold the team seasonal record at 264.
- Dating back to the beginning of September last year, a sample size of over 260 ABs, Jose Bautista is hitting a home run every 11.6 ABs. Barry Bonds hit a HR every 12.9 ABs over the course of his career,
- The Rays are allowing 3.1 runs/game, which would translate to 501 over the course of a full season, and the lowest runs/game rate since they lowered the mounds after the '68 season.

Re: Statistical anomalies
Through 47 team games, the Minnesota Twins have made just 10 errors, and at the current pace would finish the season with 35 errors. The ML record for fewest errors in a season is 65 set by the 2003 Seattle Mariners.
