You're probably right. Can't say I'd be a fan of that, even though I'm in favor of more playoff teams.

There used to be a time where you had to master more than 1 skill to make it to the big leagues. Now you can be "good" at 1 or 2 things & management just hopes you get better while on the job. That leads to worse baseball on the field & an crappier product for the fans. This has everything to do with over expansion. Two new teams will only make this worse.

True.

Add to that fact that statistics always get distorted for a couple of seasons after an expansion.

If anything MLB should contract 4 teams because there is just not enough pitching to go around. The Marlins,Pirates,Padres and Athletics all need to be contracted.

But when has there ever been enough pitching?

And +1 for fewer, rather than more, teams. Not that I think it's likely to happen or anything.

Who knows? Probably the wc's playing a short series against each other

The two wildcard teams in each league would play a short 3 game "wildcard" series with the winner moving on to face a division winner. The idea also could include the next series beginning right after as to not allow the wild card team time to reset their rotations.
