Weeks and Fielder stand over the plate and they account for 31 of the 47 HBP's on the team. Next highest on the team is 3.

I don't think Venters was "headhunting." He had no motivation to do so unless something went on behind the scenes. When you crowd the plate like Fielder does you're going to get hit more.

over the head, hit on the numbers, and hit in the leg (in the fri game i believe)

those all seem intentional places to throw at...its not like a fastball that got away and runs in

It takes a lot of balls to throw at someone two pitches in a row, especially when the first one goes right over their head. Hitting someone directly after a warning is also a pretty sure suspension (4 games) and he's our second best reliever. As intentional as it looked, there is no known reason for him to put himself on the line like that.

The interesting part of this story is when the Brewers hit Glaus after a warning the next day the pitcher didn't even get ejected. :dontknow:

People take offense to the way they celebrate?

Or because they overcrowd the plate?

Is it possible for Prince Fielder to not crowd the plate?

i think they have a great offense but their defense leaves lot to be desired to be honest.
