Timmie lost his effectiveness as a broadcaster a long time ago.

For sure a bit overboard for Mr. McCarver. But I have heard some people agree with his general issue with the Yankees.

I love Joe but no other manager would have gotten away with the managerial sh*t he pulled from 03-07. He lost he effectiveness, plain & simple. Not to mention he preached time & time again about keeping things inside the clubhouse. Then he writes a book that exposes stuff that no one knew about (Kevin Brown in a fetal position in the clubhouse for example). Also, Torre IS in the new Stadium & he's in Steinbrenner Field in Tampa.

The man that has been completely removed from the Stadium is Clemens. Something tells me McCarver won't say the Yankees are treating him like Stalin & Hitler did their generals

how is that a shocking comparison? It might be a little insensitive but it more or less sums up what the Yankees are about.

Good point, but with that said Torre should just apologize for the whole book ordeal, because it would be a shame if Joe doesn't make any Old Timer's Days. Because he's as important to the organization as Mo/Jeter. With that said, this should be blamed on both sides. The Yanks slapped him in the face with the one yr. deal, and Torre was a huge douche about it with the book.

I could have managed that team to the world series every year. how could you not? It only takes about what, a billion dollars to buy a championship? lol.
