This has to be the most misinformed comment ever. You do know that run differential matters, right?

It was shameful on Mexico part. Their third basemen actually told the pitcher to hit him. They wanted to fight, and then they got their asses kicked.

i don't think so. it doesnt matter what weird futbol rules WBC implement, baseball has too long of a history and tradition to ignore what has been an unspoken rule for more than any of our lives. you go back to 1890's they beaned opposing teams for doing what Canadians did to the Mexican team. Donny Baseball gets it, middle aged father of two like me gets it, and hopefully someday a youngster like you, would get it too.

I can understand that in the MLB, where run differential doesnt matter.

But guess what, its not, and run differential does matter. They just tried to get on base to help get as much runs as possible.

there are no games like baseball, where tradition and history means more than any other. you can talk about point differential all you want, but any old timer will tell you, regardless of the WBC rules, there are things and acts that will cause a brawl. what Canadians did will cause a brawl even in a little league. Canadians, imho, should stick to hockey. there are no excuses for their action in baseball, period. if my son bunted in that situation, i would apologize to the opposing coach myself, and be embarrassed for my son. it doesn't matter if we won and made it to the next round. what is wrong, will always be wrong in baseball.

the more i think about it.

the Mexican National wouldn't have been mad if Canada had strung together a pile of hits and kept scoring.
but something about the bunt is cheap....and stealing in that situation too.

kinda like when a pitcher is throwing a no hitter and u try to break it up with a bunt.
perfectly good play....and the dude who bunts is like "eff that, I'm not trying to get no hit"....fine...but in baseball it's frowned upon.

not the scoring...but the cheapness of a bunt.

I completely understand that when it comes to the MLB. But I see nothing wrong with trying to get as many runs as they could (With the rules in this tournament), and to do that, it would help if you got on base, and thats what we were trying to do.

Yeah, I guess, but all Canada was trying to do was to get on base. That was the main goal. And it didnt matter how they achieved it, all that mattered was that they achieve it. And they did.

This game is crazy tied at 1 in the Top of the 9th.

Dominican Republic is batting with 1 out and the go ahead run on 3b.

Great ballgame tonight. Great game. Like an All-Star game on steroids. Sucks David Wright gets hurt when he's swinging such a great bat. Dominican's are on a mission.

I'm personally hoping that the Netherlands win, I love the underdog and I'm an Atlanta guy so I'll be rooting for Andrelton Simmons
