I don't think its out of the question. He need 8 more and there are 20ish games left. I think he'll hit 58

I hope so. Too bad he slowed down in the middle part of the season. Very well could have pushed 70, maybe even set a new single season record.

its baseball and hes human.. no1 without the help of roids stays that hot a whole year, hence why marris' record stood for so long till a buncha phoneys broke it.. arods never hit 60, juniors never hit 60.. h/e sosa did it a couple times, mcguire, bonds.. couldnt get more obvious how juiced these guys were, arods having a rediculousssss season and he still wont achieve what we got accustomed to seeing in the late 90s from these 3 losers. sorry but no1 will hit 70 homeruns(maybe not even 60) again without steroids/hgh, jus not happening

He was on pace to hit 59 as of yesterday (not sure if that changed today), so it's definitely possible. It doesn't hurt that the Yankees play another series against Tampa Bay and two more against Bedard-less Baltimore.

I thought so, but not anymore...he went "cold" in Toronto.
