You know the Astros are bad because they make the A's offense look like Murderer's Row.

They're not the most gifted offense in their own division, is what I'm saying.

Maybe as far as aggressiveness and name power goes, but I'm not going to knock them for being successful at getting on base since that's always been their MO.

7 walks in the game so far tonight. Definitely credit Houston for most of those though.

Dan Straily got the win and 11 K's against my Kstros tonight, but that didn't stop the A's from sending him back down to the AAA team.

Looks like it was a strain of the bicep. I'm sure he thought the worst when he felt that pain.

As for leaving his wife, not sure that really fair. Nobody has a clue on the relationship.

The A's have the potential to put up good offensive statistic. Last season in the 2nd half iirc, they led the AL in runs and were 2nd in homeruns. The problem projecting for 2013 is accounting for the career years that some A's player had.

Josh Reddick had a career year in 2012 but if you look deeper into his #'s you'll see he was terrible at the plate in Aug/Sept. He did make up for his slump a bit with his glove though. In 2013 i think he'll be more consistent due to pacing him self better.

Yoenis Cespedes is a stud - he has 40HR potential but late 20's is a more realistic prediction.

Brandon Moss/Josh Donaldson had a great 2nd halves but i'm concerned that they might come down to earth a bit. Moss had a HR/AB rate similar to Stanton in the 2nd half last season but i don't think he'll be able to maintain those type of #s through out 2013

Also it seems like the A's did improve its outfield depth, middle infield and behind the plate through off season acquisitions but if they can duplicate the power #s from the corner positions than I think they'll have a chance to be a very good offense.

Did she cheat on him? Abuse him? He is saying there could be other reasons for divorcing his wife than because she has cancer.

Maybe you know more on the situation though, so please enlighten us.

i have to answer you because you asked a question?

i mentioned why I don't feel sorry about Lackey's injury.
he and I'm assuming, you feel differently.
fine...but just because i mentioned it and just because it's out there for u to disagree with doesn't mean i feel like engaging in a discussion of my values with some ppl i don't know n a baseball forum.

if that's not enough for u.

just let it go.
we don't agree and we won't.

Yankees surprised the crap outta me today, especially with Verlander pitching. Played some decent small ball, which is the only way they'll be able to make it out of April and May alive.

Youk looks like he did a few years back... well, hitting wise. Without the stupid goatee people hardly recognize him.

I barely even recognized Youk the other day.

Perhaps you can get it through your thick head you don't have a truth on that marriage. They had a divorce and really that's all we know about it. So dumb when people bring up personal stuff from a player and try to use it as some fact. You don't like the guy, I got it.
