Andruw Jones wasn't a free agent signing or anything, but this is his contract season and he was has completely blown it thus far. He has never hit for average, but he's just stubborn. Not willing or simply unable (doubtful) to change his ways at the plate. Pull or nothing.

Michael Barrett gets a vote. :nonono:

For the past couple years he was one of the better offensive catchers in the game, and his defense, while never particularly good, was especially bad this year.

Glad the Cubs got rid of him.

Jacque Jones goes without saying, I had high hopes for him when the Cubs signed him and he's gotten progressively worse.

Just think about how good the Indians offense would be if Travis Hafner wasn't hitting so poorly...

Vernon Wells needs to be mentioned. He has played like crap this year. 18 mill/year for a guy who's not top 20 in either avg, hr, rbi, obp, slg, ops.... Not even one category. :banghead:

True dat....but he wasn't expected to be anything more than the #5 starter. Farnsworth on the other hand......

IMHO:
1) Barry Zito: he's showing that he doesn't deserve the great contract he signed
2) Anthony Reyes: I was expecting great things from him this year....

people are forgetting about the human white flag scott schowenweis.

minaya desperately paid this guy the same (if not more) money then bradford, after saying bradford isn't worth it.

stats: 41 games. 0-2. 5.09 era. 23 walks 21 SO

bradford: 47 games 0-4 3.26 era. 7 walks. 22 SO

Andruw Jones is having a horrible year with the bat, the power is declining, his numbers wont' be anywhere near last year's, and his average is like .210 Awful numbers for a contract year

Not his fault Willie cant manage. He's a lefty specialist,
his numbers against lefties are great which he was brought in to do. Too bad Willie is an idiot and uses him against righties.

I nominate the entire White Sox team. I'm surprised there has been only one token mention of Jermaine Dye so far in this thread. Konerko is coming around lately but is still well below his career norms. Pierzynski is having an awful year. Crede was a train wreck before he got hurt. Iguchi has been a bust. Erstad... well, he's not exactly a disappointment, since everyone knew he would suck. Alex Cintron has been horrible. Podsednik actually sucks slightly less than he did in recent years, when healthy, but he hasn't been able to stay healthy. Just a team full of busts all around.

Even worse now...

.214, 5 hr, 19 rbi, .322 OBP, .376 slg

2 for his last 31 and he has only 7 RBIs since April.

I mean, cheesh, even Brewers pitchers are hitting better than Rickie.

Isn't this the guy who set the NCAA baseball batting average record???

You know he has to be holding back on what he is telling about his wrist.

That's more than likely yes. Hopefully he'll realize he's hurting the team by not telling the truth.
