Yeah, I agree. It would probably go up too if he had a 5 hitter behind him that was actually doing something this year. Hall has struggled this year and now is hurt and Estrada really isn't a 5 hitter.

It just seems like on every thread, its only about the players on YOUR team. I don't mean YOUR as in you mets....but as in the poster. Whoever the poster is, his teams players are the best. There is no better shortstop in the majors than JJ Hardy in Milwaukee, but if your writing from ATL, there is no better shortstop than Renteria. I just wish people could have an open view on all this. And i'm only using Hardy and Renteria as examples, because yea they are great players, but there are 7 shortstops in the Majors that I would take over them

I'm sorry, but you're a terrible judge of talent. I remember you called Renteria the worst defensive SS in the game.

Why did Eckstein's team beat your team last year in the playoffs? I kid I kid.

Back on topic, how the hell did the OP rate Carlos Lee 3rd in MVP, he so crazy.

Ok, open your eyes, its not a slam dunk that renteria is better than those seven guys. Is he worse than all of them? No....but you just can't make a case that he is the best SS. Jeter and Reyes are spark plugs that do way more to help their teams win. Tulowitzki is a solid hitter who is an unbelievable fielder. Carlos Guillen is flat out nasty, Michael Young just hits and hits and hits. Watching Orlando Cabrera with the Sox and Angels showed me how much of a winner the guy is, a lot more so then Renteria. Hanley Ramirez is just filthy.

I'm sorry but not having Ryan Braun in the Top 2 of the NL Rookie of the Year is a friggin joke.

look at these monster #'s for a man who's only played 41 games...

.353 avg, 13 hr, 36 rbi, 8 sb, .397 obp, .695 slg %, 1.092 ops, with 14 doubles and 38 runs scored...

oh and the dude is killin lefties. He's hittin .545 against lefties with 8 hrs in 44 at bats and only 7 strike outs. Oh and his sluggin and obp are ridiculous againsts south-paws at .604 obp and 1.295 slugging.

Dude is a runaway NL Rookie of the Year IMO...and no thats not homerism either. Braun is a stud, simple as that.

Oh and Ben Sheets should be a top 5 NL Cy Young candidate (now that's homerism  )
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan

1) I never said Renteria was the best SS.
2) If you don't think Renteria is worse than those 7 then I having nothing to argue.
3) You still said that Renteria was the worst defensive SS in the game and that's just funny.
