Whaaaaat? I think everyone know a rotation of Gallardo, Bush, Capuano, Suppan, Vargas is mediocre at best.

I agree Vargas and Suppan suck but Capuano has posted ERA's around 4 (it's 5.33 right now) the past 2 years and Bush had a 4.41 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP and was a sleeper this year and he has like a 4.9 ERA.

I know he is great I am not questioning his amazing career.
But at this point and with him being off the juice he is not worth it and is an overrated pitcher in 2007 IMO

Yes, he's getting paid far more than he's worth but he'd still be the best pitcher on the Brewers staff (other than Sheets).

Ichiro may be having the best (or second-best) season of his career. Interesting how much value he adds just by moving him to center.

No one is doubting you on that one...at least not me.
But the Brewers pitching staff is garbage.
And Clemens numbers this year are alot worse than they have been for him throughout his career.

if you have personal beef with Clemens because he ''juiced'' thats for another board. No one around here is saying hes going to win a cy young, but hes hardly pitched poorly this year. And I'd take him in a big game start over any Brewer, including Sheets this year.

No personal beef. I love Clemens I think what he has done throughout his career is amazing. I'd take him over any brewer is well I never stated that I wouldn't. I just believe this year he is overrated IMO

How exactly is he rated this year? As a number 2 or 3 starter on a Yankee team that is in the midst of a playoff run? I don't think anyone really believes he is better than that. The reason we gave him so much money is because he was a proven winner who has a great relationship with everyone in that clubhouse.

I was under the impression that he was the #1 or #2 on the Yanks.
Of course they are in a playoff run they always are. It would be an absolute disaster if they were not in the playoff chase in august.

I have never doubted Clemens ability to be a great pitcher. I still think he is a great player and he is going to go down as one of the 5 best pitcher's ever to stand on the hill. But the question was "who do you think is overrated this year" I really think people have overrated clemens this year expecting him to come out every outing and give quality starts if not more. I think that is asking a little much of a guy his age and with his amount of wear and tear on his arm. So yes this year Clemens is overrated to what people expect of him and overrated for the fact of the amount of $ he is making. Do I think he will help the Yankees compete for a world series?...Mos Def. Do I think he will be a dominant pitcher come playoff time?...no doubt.

But My point was plain and simple for the amount of $ and just his current makeup I believe he has been overrated by alot of fans/media who are expecting hiom to go out every 5 days and pitch a gem, it's just not going to happen any more at this point in his career IMO.

Wang and Pettitte are the #1 and #2 on the Yankees staff, regardless of Wang's two rough recent outings against Toronto and Baltimore (his two worst outings of his career).

NYKGM is right here, any Yankee fan would probably say Pettitte is the ace of this staff with Wang #2.

However, I still feel throwing Clemens out there gives us a chance to win 2/3's of the time
/\ Just checked on this, 2/3 of the time this year Roger has given us a chance to win, and by a chance to win I mean a very good start.
