Red hot Nats win their 8th in a row. Good to see Stras finally pitch 8 innings, first time all year.

Offense is starting to click, and it'll only get better once Zimmerman returns.

If only the Braves could have kept losing, but they seem to have found their mojo as well.

Jeff Samardzija is average? Based on what?

Any more questions about Jeff Samardzija being a average pitcher or not?

They should have went after Price, but I assume there was a good reason they couldnt get him. Shark was the next best thing.

Addison Russel is better than any prospect the Rays got in return. I don't see why not.

Side note:
Giants win their protest. Tarp game resumes Thursday at 4 before other games.

They win their protest for that, but our protest of that completely bs infield fly call during the Wildcard game a couple years ago was immediately dismissed. Yes, I'm still salty.

Just saw the clip of him going down. Looks like he just got his spikes caught in the dirt and his knee buckled. Rough stuff.

Pitchers have been dropping like flies these last few weeks.

You're telling me.. I have 5 on my fantasy team DL right now... Tanaka, Richards, Wacha, Ryu, and Darvish. Sigh...

If the Angels work the waiver wire then you know teams are going to want them to pay a big price.

I thought Darvish going on the DL would kill my team, but they've held up the last two weeks.

What sucks is that I would honestly rather have the Yanks sit Tanaka the rest of the season, so he doesn't completely ruin his elbow, and miss the postseason.

As much as I would like to see Jeet in the playoffs to cap his last season, I'd rather there be some glint of hope for the future.

Jeff Samardzija is average? Based on what?

His whole career.

He's been a top-25 starter since 2012 according to fangraphs and so far for Oakland he's possessing a career low WHIP and career low BB/9. But ZOMG his win/loss record suckzzz!

Yea he's not walking anyone because hitters are too busy hitting his hittable pitches  I could care less about him not walking a lot of people. I'm more concerned about getting guys out. That's what counts the most and so far, he's been pretty lousy at that. His career numbers backs me up. Jeff Samardzija=AVERAGE!
