Jeff Samardzija is average? Based on what?

Any more questions about Jeff Samardzija being a average pitcher or not?

They should have went after Price, but I assume there was a good reason they couldnt get him. Shark was the next best thing.

OH ABSOLUTELY! David Price would have been the better choice by a mile. If I was going to trade a good prospect like Addison Russell, I would trade him for a player like David Price NOT for Jeff Samardzija. A 4x All-Star and a former Cy Young Award Winner. David Price is a proven good starting pitcher whereas Jeff Samardzija is a average pitcher at best.

1) LHP-Jon Lester
2) LHP-Scott Kazmir
3) RHP-Sonny Grey
4) LHP-David Price

^^^^^ Now that's a starting pitching staff that will take you deep in the postseason.

Side note:
Giants win their protest. Tarp game resumes Thursday at 4 before other games.

Agreed. The Rays would receive a much better trade package from the A's for David Price than that garbage they got from the Tigers. Nobody from the Tigers trade package is better than Addison Russell.

The Dodgers' world is crumbling around them. Last week, best record in the NL. This week, 3rd.

The injury bug has hit us at a terrible time. Worst, all of them are key.

Greinke and Ryu are hurt.

Hanley hurt
Uribe hurt.
Beckett hurt (he's been hurt though)

How annoying.

Well in the end Cubs still won, even though the Giants out hit them 11 to 3. Goddamn chokers

These next 3 games against the Los Angeles of Anaheim Angels is going to be very crucial for the Oakland Athletics. They got their 3 best starters going against the Angels with Sonny Gray tomorrow, Jon Lester on Saturday, and Scott Kazmir on Sunday. It's show up or shut up time.

I wish Julio Teherán could pitch like this on the road all of the time.

He's been a top-25 starter since 2012 according to fangraphs and so far for Oakland he's possessing a career low WHIP and career low BB/9. But ZOMG his win/loss record suckzzz!

Yea he's not walking anyone because hitters are too busy hitting his hittable pitches  I could care less about him not walking a lot of people. I'm more concerned about getting guys out. That's what counts the most and so far, he's been pretty lousy at that. His career numbers backs me up. Jeff Samardzija=AVERAGE!

No. Guys like Josh Collmenter and Chad Billingsly are average.

Finally was able to get back to LA for a second and I used that second to finally check out our new (improved) ball park.

It's been 2 years since I've been to Dodger Stadium and it was great for Justin Turner to help fight the regression and to see Kershaw do work.

Hey Higga.
You have 3 against the Giants. You have 3 good pitchers going. You haven't lost in a week and a half. Do your job please.

The Tigers really wanna make the postseason, huh?

Giving up 20 to the Twins? Really?

Tigers got spanked again.

This is not good
KC with a chance to go up 3.5 tonight.

The A's and Angels game decided by a wild pitch. Great for us :D

Oh man if they miss the playoffs with their personnel and payroll. Things will only get worse cause Sherzer is gone... It would be cool to see Seattle & KC in the postseason though. Alex Gordon is so underrated.

8 straight losses for the Red Sox. I'm quite surprised.

Woot another Natties fan.

I was at the game yesterday. Down 5-0 early, my buddy turns to me and asks, do you wanna just dip out? But I had a feeling we had a comeback in us. Disappointing Strasburg got lit up though, he's usually lockdown at home especially against the Giants.

This could be a special season. I think we might actually be better than 2012. Asdrubal Cabrera got dinged up yesterday though, really hope he's okay. He's been awesome for us since we acquired him at the deadline and I do NOT want Espinosa starting again at 2B.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.
