Stanton needs to get that k rate down, but yeah, he's the man.

He's gotten much better this year. Hitting for average and not always trying to blast one out of the park. He still gets cocky and tries teeing pitches up when the Marlins are down, but it's becoming more seldom.

Living in south Florida and kinda being forced to watch the Marlins every night is better with him on the team.

One guy that's been really under the radar is Chris Carter from the Houston Astros. In the month of July, he had 8 HR for 19 RBI while batting .289 AVG in 22 games. In the month of August and still going, he already hit 12 HR for 29 RBI while batting .289 AVG in 25 games. That's 20 HR and 48 RBI in only 47 games :o

He's absolutely dreadful at hitting for contact consistently, though. I'm pretty sure those July and August numbers are the first time he's hit over .250 in a month in his two years in the majors.

Seems to me that he'll be another Adam Dunn-esque clone.

Uuuugh can't believe we got swept by the Phillies. Road trip is only gonna get tougher having to face Seattle and LA, including matchups with King Felix and Kershaw. Hope we can snap out of it and get back to our winning ways. Can't let Atlanta back into the race.

Last week of the regular season in my fantasy league, and my team is losing to the worst team in the league. My hitters better wake up this weekend.

Giancarlo Stanton has the most HRs at home in the NL. Crazy considering the fact that he plays in that park (Justin Upton is 2nd in HRs at home, and he also plays in a pitcher's park).

In the last 100 seasons only one player had hit three homers in his first three games.

The Cubs have had two players do it in the last month.

A's lost another game to the Angels with no hitting whatsoever. I understand pitching is what wins you games, but at some point, you need to start hitting the damn baseball :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The Braves couldn't ask for a much better schedule to make up 6 games in the division, but I'm not holding my breath. They could just as easily be 12 out by the end of it.

The Cubs have a bright future. If I were them, I would look to move some of those positional players for pitchers around the same age.

Typical Cubs, disappoint the fans all season until the end, which will give them hope for next season, only for the exact same thing to happen in 2015

Hey man, they could win, like, 80 games next year.
