The A's are done. One of the most disappointing franchises in all of sports. The A's can definitely challenged the 1990s Buffalo Bills.

Shark's fault for not inspiring the offense to score more.

Giants win 5th straight, Peavy flirts with a no hitter in the 8th after Bum ended his perfect game in the 8th a few games ago, now only 2.5 games behind Dodgers

They're only four out of the division with a month left and five up on possibly losing out on a wild card spot.
Calm down.

I'll see what I can do for you.
The last half of August we got hit BIG by the injury bug.
Hanley was out 2 weeks.
Uribe out 2-3 weeks.
Ryu out 2 weeks.
Greinke skipped a start because of his elbow.
Looks like we've weathered the worst of it.
We have 6 with them in September...but again...I'll see what I can do.
I dunno if the Giants are hot or the Rockies and Brewers just blow.

Does anybody besides Royal have a comment on how Billy Beane's moves have worked out this far?

Colorado is tanking hard. Pisses me off cause they're keeping the Snakes from getting the top pick.

Clearly, you haven't watch the A's after Cespedes got traded. It's a whole different team now with no fire whatsoever. Brandon Moss and Derek Norris can't hit a baseball into the Pacific Ocean, Eric Sogard can't throw the baseball to the 1st baseman if there's a gun pointed to his head, and Ryan Cook can't even pitch an idea. This team is no different than the rest of the A's team. They just always end up choking. Oakland Chokers.

The A's were held without a run for 29 consecutive innings. Destroyed is a great word to described the A's this weekend. Another word to described the A's is manhandled, choked, soft, pathetic, embarrassing, lifeless, but destroyed is good enough.

The A's are definitely a team with expectations as the A's have clearly outplayed the underdog role for the last few years now. Billy Beane has made some really bad decisions this season (still trying to forget that he traded for closer Jim Johnson

The first one is trading a highly regarded minor league prospect in shortstop Addison Russell for a average pitcher Jeff Samardzija and a terrible pitcher Jason Hammel who really overachieved this season with the Chicago Cubs that made him into something that he's clearly not. After acquiring Samardzija and Hammel, the A's optioned left-handed pitcher Tommy Milone to Triple A Sacramento when Milone was 6-0 with a 2.62 ERA over his last 11 starts at the time

Then there's the Yoenis Cespedes trade. The A's did get a good pitcher in return in Jon Lester and a ok utility player in Jonny Gomes, but the hitting was no longer a threat. Cespedes gave the A's a threat in the lineup and the protection for Josh Donaldson, Brandon Moss, Derek Noss, and Stephen Vogt, but without Cespedes, the A's clearly don't have another power bat in the lineup and therefore, more pressure on the other guys. I was fine trading for Jon Lester, but not for Yoenis Cespedes. The A's should have never traded SS-Addison Russel to the Cubs for RHP-Jeff Samardzija and RHP-Jason Hammel, but rather, go trade SS-Addison Russell for LHP-Jon Lester and LF-Jonny Gomes even if that means for a few months of Jon Lester's services because the A's are trying to win it now.

Adam Dunn's OPS away from US Cellular is nearly .900 which would be the highest in Oakland's current lineup. I'm sure they'll only play him vs RHP. Not a bad move by any means.

I can see by the box scores that they're struggling right now, but all I was saying is that there's a month left and teams, ya know, get better by tweaking their lineups and such.
By your original post, you sound like they just blew a 3-0 lead in the World Series. It's only September goddamn 1st.
