That's ok. According to someone here you guys are the type of team goes over well in the playoffs...

And since you've finally caught the Brew Crew for the 2nd Wild Card spot, we'll see how his big mouth feels about you guys flying into SF for a one game playoff.

giants will be fine, braves are similarly built team but they are not as healthy. would be a shame if kershaw wastes a start for WC though.

Not worried about playing any of the WC teams if it comes down to it, just would rather avoid the Nats until later. Divisional matchup between Dodgers and Nats would be great to see, though.

So would a Dodgers-Giants if you guys win your wild card game.

Surely the Nats will finally put us away this week.

Great day for the Dodgers. Two homers for A-Gon. Homer for Kemp. A sweep over the snakes....and the Giants, who have been hot, drop one to give us a little wiggle room. SD comes in town tomorrow and they play us tough. Couldn' ask for a better matchup before going into our most important series all year-a team we cannot overlook for the Giants series.

Nats have 6 more with Atlanta.
8 more with Miami.
I see them dropping that HFA to another party who will graciously take it. Hopefully that's the Dodgers.

You still have the Giants to deal with they're not gonna go quietly

What part of my post did you miss?

The part calling the Giants hot?
Saying the game we gained on them was "a little wiggle room"?
Or the part that says SD is the ideal matchup for the Dodgers BEFORE going into our most important series of the year (a series against SF)?

Or did you just read the portion of my post that says the Nats will drop the HFA to "another party" and "HOPEFULLY that's the Dodgers" and just go "oh wow he thinks he has the division wrapped up" in your head?

Monster series with the Braves starts today. Hopefully we can finally take a series from them. Losing 2/3 to Philly at home stings. I was at the game Friday and was part of the chorus that booed the crap out of Rafael Soriano. Dude's ERA is now almost 7 post All-Star Break. Thank God Matt Williams finally pulled the plug on that and had Drew Storen close yesterday, who looked awesome doing it.

Six games vs. the Braves in the next week. A split would probably lock the division title down, but realistically we should be fine as long as we don't get swept both times. I think we're due to actually take a series from them, they aren't that good, and it's about time we show it.

The A's are self-destructed. I would be surprised if they would be in the AL Wild Card game.

AL East: Baltimore Orioles
AL Central: Kansas City Royals
AL West: Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
AL Wild Card: Detroit Tigers (Seattle Mariners vs Detroit Tigers)

Like I said, the A's are self-destructed. I have never seen such a meltdown besides the Yankees being up 3-0 on the Boston Red Sox in the playoffs. The A's are done! Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners, good luck in the AL Wild Card game.

Losing 12 games in the division and 9 in the Wild Card race in just 27 games is hard to do. Somehow, some way, the A's have done just that.

Dodgers win their 4th in a row.
Kershaw wins his 18th.
Gonzalez, Kemp and Dee are heating up.

Perfect timing and a great response to our division foes getting hot.
It's gonna be fireworks in SF this weekend man. This is what you watch the MLB for.

I think the star power on both teams would be so good for the MLB that I actually hope we face each other multiple times in the WS.

Hopefully the east coast bias wouldn't put a damper on it like it did the 02 WS, which was great.

Question on the Angels:
You're not worried about losing Richards for the season? You think you have enough pitching to get through the AL?

I think our bullpen is that good right now. The Angels will have to be carried by their bullpen, defense, and offense.

I'd watch the crap outta that series, but it would tank in the ratings because of what Quake mentioned.

The east coast wouldn't give two sh*ts about it, even though (arguably) the two biggest stars in the sport would be front and center.

Why is nobody talking about the Brewers epic collapse? They've lost 12 of their last 13 games!
