I didn't do anything to assist in the wins, so it's not a personal achievement. I don't have a fetish about it. But as a baseball fan, I'm not buying into this stuff from the Dodgers. Win something.

Honestly, you'll have to excuse me; I was two months old the last time the Dodgers won a pennant. I don't remember it. Evidently you're moving into your 70s, so I'm sure you have some great memories. I just can't recall them ever winning anything.

Glad you finally told me how old you were.

Hey, everyone is different.

I've enjoyed these World Series wins because I watch the majority of the games, I like the players, and I rooted for them through a lot of awful seasons. I got to experience the journey as it was happening.

If you get enjoyment out of wins that happened before you were born, good for you. I can't relate. That's not the relationship I have with sports.

it's a nice joke to use on Dodger fans. I get it. Ha ha. But it's very lame if you don't care about Willie Mays, Juan Marichal etc. etc. did for your franchise.

Of course I care. But I can't admit to getting any enjoyment out of watching them play through a 162 game season, as much as I would have loved to.

That's only true if the rules changed and defense wasn't a thing anymore.

Myers was a below-average corner outfielder. Putting him at CF in that huge outfield will be disastrous...and that's still probably their best option considering Kemp's health problems.

I get to see Eovaldi a lot down here. If he can work the kinks out of his mechanics, he could be a very solid 2-3 one day for us.

Garrett Jones could be a monster with the short porch in right if he splits time with Tex at first and has some time in the outfield.

actually, despite that youngster's claim, the Gnats only have won 3 WS rings since leaving Manhattan. the Dodgers won 5 since leaving Brooklyn. we are still up 2 since coming to Cali.

and no, son. I was alive for some of those rings.
ehhhhh f it.

speaking of legends from yesteryears, too bad Duke Snider died in 2011. until his death, you could simply send him a 20 bucks and his baseball card in the mail with a return envelop and a stamp on it, he would sign it and send it back to you. I got one of his autographs. RIP duke.
ehhhhh f it.

It was not a bad haul for one year of Upton but I still think Hart waited too long.

I'm still hung up on signing Markakis to a $44mil contract. Trading Heyward and Upton is sad, but expected (not thrilled with the return). Nick Markakis makes no sense. And he celebrated the new contract with neck surgery...wtf. Might as well trade Kimbrel. No point in having the best closer if your team is garbage.

I hope the Braves are worth watching by the time the new park opens, but that seems like a long shot at this point.

It's probably best for Braves to rebuild, Marlins and Nats will be better next year anyways
