2 World Series in and still playing this pathetic card.

The overwhelming majority of "experts" picked the giants to lose every playoff series they played in 10 and 12. And going into those years, no one thought they had a shot. Same thing will happen this year.

The Dodgers will respond.

no, the same thing wont happen this year.

The card is pathetic. Even in the years that the Cardinals did the sneak up/ get hot thing (2006 and 2011), their fans didn't bask in their underdogness. They expect to win. They knew they were better even though they were slept on. They don't make other team's "advantages" a thing like fans of the Giants do.

i know i know...wahh...cry some more. i get it.
1 tomorrow and 1 sunday. see you guys on the field.

how corny are you?

Given their plain meaning, the words "see you guys on the field" don't suggest I'm on the Dodgers.

Calm down.

Clearly, you haven't watch the A's after Cespedes got traded. It's a whole different team now with no fire whatsoever. Brandon Moss and Derek Norris can't hit a baseball into the Pacific Ocean, Eric Sogard can't throw the baseball to the 1st baseman if there's a gun pointed to his head, and Ryan Cook can't even pitch an idea. This team is no different than the rest of the A's team. They just always end up choking. Oakland Chokers.

I can see by the box scores that they're struggling right now, but all I was saying is that there's a month left and teams, ya know, get better by tweaking their lineups and such.

By your original post, you sound like they just blew a 3-0 lead in the World Series. It's only September goddamn 1st.

Ummmm . . . . . . yea. I told you so.

They're not going to fire Billy Beane after 16 or 17 years of good GMing because they swung for the fences this year and missed.

Same thing happened in 2012 to my Dodgers. Huge blockbuster trade for A-Gon and Carl Crawford etc. etc. Everybody expected us to take off and we just ended up playing .500 baseball and missing the playoffs. It still wasn't a bad deal (it helped win the NL West last year and possibly this year) but we weren't going to put it together with ONE month left in the season (the deal was made like August 22,2012).

same thing here. The rotation in Oakland is NOT bad as much as you're hating on Samardzija and Hamel. It would play well over 162 IMO but it's probably just not going to play well right now over this short period of time with all these moving parts.

The problem is, the Lester trade was much much worse. Losing Russell hurts, but now they've lost their star OF going forward and to top it off, Lester will probably leave in the offseason to resign with Boston.

With the two aces bookending this series, tonight game becomes incredibly important for both teams. I can't see anyone beating Kershaw right now

i think if giants can limit kershaw to 7 innings they have a good shot. i trust our closers more than dodgers.
