Have Huddy and Vogey throwing this weekend who haven't done much lately. Please continue the trend Hudson. Please continue the trend Vogey. No need to get super human and be better than you really are just to try and piss off ole Quake.

Over his last 10 games, Vogey has a cool 3.94 ERA and hasn't given up more than 4 runs other than being blown up @Colorado 3 starts ago. So take that game away and it's probably in the 3.6 to 3.7 range. You're right about Hudson though.

3 out of Vogey's last 5 starts he's sucked.

the other 2 were Arizona at home and Milwaukee at home.
neither of those teams would have hit the baseball if they were given tennis rackets.
giving up 4 runs isn't horrible, plus it's not like the dodgers have anyone reliable right now other than Kershaw and Greinke.

Poor Samardzija, throws a 8 inning shut out and then gets taken out and watches his bullpen blow it in the 9th

if a quality start in itself averages out to an ERA of 4.50 then giving up 4 runs over 5 and 2/3 is a bad start. This isn't the AL and the Diamondbacks have been our punching bags at this point of the year. no excuses.

Check Dan Haren's starts since his start in Anaheim August 6th.
and I'll live with Ryu making a come back.

Who is throwing well besides Peavy and Bumgarner in SF?
Oh, I guess that fat guy who got his **** crushed by Matt Kemp on Sunday....but whatever.

ninja edit:
all 4 guys are throwing this week at Chavez.
should be a good one.

Not like Haren has been good against any world beaters either. You called out Arizona and Milwaukee for Vogey, but after beating the Angels, Haren beat ATL during their slide, lost to MIL (the team you said wouldn't have hit the baseball if they were given tennis rackets), beat the Mets (hooray), lost to SD, beat Arizona (another team you said that called out), beat SD at home (they're one of the worst teams in the league on the road) and then got crushed @COL.

yea, Milwaukee when we faced them....hot team.
Milwaukee when you faced them, beginning of their skid.

He didn't take an actual L in the loss column against SD. We lost the game. He gave up no ER and we lost on a walk off in the 12th.

I guess we can always play the "if not for this one team, he hasn't....." game.
But i think after owning the best lineup in baseball, it's not that big of a leap to say he's just pitching well against NL West teams. But I understand how you may color his last month differently than I would.

btw, LOL at 5 IP and 5 runs given up at Colorado being classified as "crushed"
not really...but 5 IP 8 runs given up is though....oh and whatever happened out there today - that's "crushed" too....but 5 IP 8 ER is for sure.

It really is, but his pitch count was already at 116. What's really pathetic was the bottom of the 8th inning with 0 outs, bases loaded, and 3 A's players all popped it up for 3 consecutive outs without scoring a run :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

You really hate me huh? HAHAHA!!!

Dennis Allen needs to go! If the Raiders go 2-6 before the 2nd half of the season start, everybody can pencil the Raiders to have another 4-12 season, but I really hope they beat those Patriots!

That is two sweeps in a row for the Rangers, though the Braves is not much to brag about.

YES! That's how pathetic they are. This team is definitely going to be blown up by next season and honestly, I really hope Billy Beane will leave as well. He's a good GM, but he makes some big bone-headed trades over the years and the A's will never be anything more than a 1st round exit playoff team year in and year out.

Yep, I would be. I want the Braves to lose to bump up a few draft spots since it is not mathematically over for them but still Over.

Why waste my time kicking the Giant's teeth in if you're going to turn around and do this?

you could have simply got swept in SF...i could have ate my crow and worried about the next series at home against SF/ the wild card.

yea. I'm watching.

but it's REALLY annoying. I feel like Stan Van Gundy watching Dwight make mistakes.
