Here's to hoping the Tigers sign Choo and move AJax down the order to like the 6 or 7 spot.

Verlander, Scherzer, Sanchez, and Smyly say hi :D

We'll miss you Doug, the Nats got a good one. I'm okay with the trade, don't really like it, but we shall see how this plays out.

I think you'll like Lombordozzi and Krol. Lombo is the perfect utility INF who can also spot start. He's one of those gritty tough players and he always seems to get big hits late in games when the team needs them. Krol has great stuff, I actually thought he should close for us during Soriano's slump, but he needs some refining. Robbie Ray is apparently a future closer with great stuff but again he's young and needs time.

Nats don't have many holes in the lineup, assuming Zimmerman's throwing issues are fixed(big assumption)and Laroach won't suck as much as last year(doubtful he returns to 2012 form). We need to shore up the pen though, bring in a veteran lefty or two. Probably could use a backup C too, I love Wilson Ramos but he's too injury prone.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Such a mets move. Smh. I actually like the mets for whatever reason.

The Yankees are close to signing Kelly Johnson.

If that's the insurance plan for Cano leaving, then I think Cashman may have put all of his eggs in the Ellsbury/McCann basket and Pharmcat may have been right.

I wish Ellsbury the best of luck and I don't blame him for taking the deal. With that said I'm sure happy it's the Yankees paying it and not the Red Sox.

Ouch. They can have him for that much. They're gonna be crying when he doesn't even play half of the season.

can Kelly play 3rd? He could be more of an Arod insurance. Yanks might run a platoon at 3rd base this up coming season.

I know he's played outfield and second. I don't know if he has the range for third.

He's played every base and LF for Tampa Bay.

Enjoy him mindlessly flailing at pitches that Stevie Wonder wouldn't dare swing at.

Hmm... apparently the sox are looking at granderson. I guess that goes with what I was yelling about yesterday on twitter, my "how come we can't just steal one of their guys for once" mantra. But I don't really want him.

I certainly wouldn't be against adding Kemp, but I'd need to know the prospects that the Sox would have to give up first.

how about you take Kemp for nothing and we'll take back the fact that you ate the entire contract?

next up Carl Crawford or Andre Ethier.
who is in? Blue Jays?...someone...holla at me...it's a fire sale of Dodger OFs

Crawford seems impossible to move at this point. Shawn Ethier would be a good fit in Toronto.

I know it's a bit different than the Yankees giving Ellsbury a bunch of cash, but Matt Kemp seems to be just as injury-prone and it's okay?

I was never opposed to keeping Ellsbury for big bucks. I pouted that he went to New York for money, but I think it's a great deal for both.

Are we talking about in comparison to Ellsbury? If so, of course, but I feel like there's a bit of a double standard here, especially if the Sawx give up some good prospects. Granted, those kids could end up being awful and the whole thing becomes a wash.
