That is the $30 million dollar question

Teheran and Cueto with 8 scoreless innings. I think just about every start for our rotation has been a quality one. Teheran's gonna be a star in this league some day soon imo.

Harps with a sprained thumb and goes on the DL. If it's a ligament tear, he'll be out 10 weeks. I bet it is too, dude is just made of glass.

Might as well just forfeit the season. The Braves just won't lose and we're still playing mediocre baseball and we are getting hit with the injury bug.

I got to say I find it pretty funny the reaction that Cano got coming back to New York. Yankee fans really have the audacity to boo him and say that he sold out? I really hope they were just trying to get under his skin and actually don't believe that.

Yeah I always laugh when fans boo a guy for leaving for more money. EVERYONE would do the exact same thing in that situation and you're lying if you say you wouldn't.

So...Harps is out 2-3 months. Awesome. :banghead: At least I'll have the Wizards in the playoffs and then the World Cup to keep me going because this season looks lost already for the Nats. Nice comeback win last night, though having to rally late to beat the Astros is pretty sad.

As someone who sides with pitchers more often than not, if a batter hits a breaking ball that far he should be allowed to do cartwheels on his way to first base without getting beaned in his next at bat.

As someone who frequents Marlins Park, purely due to cheap tix and location, I can't stress enough just how far he hit that ball. That's Giancarlo Stanton territory.

7 straight losses for the Braves, all thanks to the pathetic offense which has been more of a liability than asset. Any other team with our rotation would have the best record in baseball. Smh

So, can someone tell me how Laz Diaz is still employed by Major League Baseball?

I'm saying it right now: Roger McDowell is the best pitching coach in baseball: no matter who comes into the rotation they all pitch spectacularly, including Gavin Floyd who just came back from injury last night. He even revived Aaron Harang and made him into a top pitcher last month. Our rotation is great, but it's really not as good without McDowell

Kershaw's return was great last night.

wish he coulda returned today to give Strasburg a lesson in how to be an ace in your age 26 season.

so far Stras and Haren equaling each other through 5.

edit:
errr...Haren in trouble technically with 4 and 1/3 IP

But that Rockies offense man. We need to get the Braves hitters some of that high altitude mountain water from Colorado.

Yep, Kershaw is a monster. Stras is good, but he's nowhere near Kershaw right now. But he pitched a gem yesterday. His #s are really good, it's just the damn first inning that kills him everytime.

Glad to take 2/3 from the Dodgers, especially when they had both Kershaw and Grienke pitching. And we got Wilson Ramos back, which is huge. On top of that, Doug Fister will be making his debut with the team tomorrow.

Starting to get healthy, and back in first place. Lets go have ourselves a season...

I'm a major league pitcher. I know Puig flips his bat.
I'm going to get mad at him and take it personal that he will not change this behavior when he plays against me.

Go Yasiel (even though the boys are sucking hard now)...flip that damn bat every time.
flip it for your freakin singles until these players get out of their great grandpas era of baseball respect.

I love it when he flips his bat on fly outs.

or when it doesnt leave the park in general.
it's hilarious...he looks foolish....but it's funny and i get a srs kick out of it.

but the rest of baseball fumes....and pitchers hate it.
it's not 1930 anymore. time to get over it and get over this kid.
