they own Boston at home.

they're going to have to get over Hellickson though.
good God they're gonna have to get over Hellickson.

Hellickson is a shell of what he used to be.

Almost all season he has been unable to avoid the big inning(s), and has more run support than almost any Rays pitcher

Braves with the perfect start!! Up 2-0 before Teheran has to even make a pitch. Great confidence booster for the young pitcher.

Good to see the Pirates get the edge and the chance to clinch at home. I'd give up my first born to be in Pittsburgh for a WS game if they make it, and I'm not even a Pirates fan.

Julio Teheran absolutely kills the life out of the Braves. Didn't even last 3 innings and he's given up 6 runs, the worst part is that the offense has done so much to get back into the game.

If Uribe is hitting HR's then you know it's not the pitchers night.

.....???

What makes you think Uribe can't hit/ hit HRs?
he does this all the time when his teams make playoff runs.

Because I watched him as a Giants fan and other than the World Series run he was pretty much horrible most of the time.

24 HR and 85 RBI in 2010 with the Giants.

so u know he has power and can hit HR...you just took the liberty to take a jab at him.
fine by me...just pointing out that he has always had power and been a free swinger....and has always done it in the playoffs.

sidenote:

why aren't the Cards starting Shelby Miller.
i thought their rotation was shallow with him as a starter...and he's coming out of the pen.
not a smart move imo.

LOL so Paco can't get Jay-Hey out.

WRITE IT DOWN DONNIE!
edit:

gotta say wtf at Paco not getting these outs and making us use Kenley tonight for one out.
his stuff will probably be crap tomorrow and we'll probably need it.

dumb move by donnie imo...let the kid get that last out. a HR at worst could have made the game 13-9

Teheran clearly didn't have any of his secondary pitches yesterday.

was pissed off until Crawford took him out.

go Nolasco!

you sucked at the end of the year so I know you're hungry to prove yourself.
Freddy Garcia???.... Dodgers, please don't make this painful...please don't give them momentum...please don't give them incentive to think they can win at Chavez.

can we please just make the NLCS tonight and not have win it in Atlanta and waste a Kershaw start?
thanks in advance.
your biggest fan.

Go Dodgers. Go Pirates.

Dodgers...do you start Kershaw with a chance to deliver the knockout blow in Game 4? It would be on 3 days rest but the dude is a horse. Nolasco has been good too though.

Normally I don't believe in home field advantage, ESPECIALLY in baseball, but wow that Pirates crowd is awesome. Gotta give it up to Pittsburgh fans, they put on their teams.

no.
it's too early for that.
plus if I'm going to do the 3 days rest thing...I want it Games 1,4 & 7 against the bucs/cards or in the WS.

not the Braves.

If Nolasco can't beat Freddy Garcia...I'm going to be more than pissed off.

Anibal Sanchez is not looking very sharp today.

And, I agree with Quake on the three days rest thing. Kershaw needs to be saved for the seven game series. If Nolasco and the offense can't find it against Freddy Garcia, then there's going to be trouble in Game 5.

I want the pirates to beat the Cards.

but i wanna know what's in that Pittsburgh water first.
last thing i want is this team being hot as hell and impossible to beat in the NLCS.

bah...lemme focus on my game 4 first.
