lol at Cards being this great fundamental team against every team in the playoffs except the Giants.

my point was you have a Game 5 and have Wainwright going then.
I seem to remember a team in 2012 that benefited from a 3rd game on the road in the NLCS because they took Game 2 after losing Game 1.
foh.
I believe the gentleman asked you to take a seat.

And to think they were a few outs away from losing 7 to 3 in the wild card game

Re: 2014 MLB Playoffs Thread
The most entertaining part of the Royals run is that all of their games are close, but they never seem that way. They're outplaying each team they face each night.

Nah go Royals. Let them sweep and get nice and rested for the WS. Then they'll run into the battle tested and ready to go Giants or Cards, a la 2012.

Re: 2014 MLB Playoffs Thread
at least they'd be the underdog compared to those two.
hate how the Cards and Giants always win and ALWAYS play with no expectations.

but what was pressure?

Re: 2014 MLB Playoffs Thread
Royals swept the Giants at KC in August, outscoring them 16 to 6 in a 3 game series, so it's actually possible they might not be the underdog. In vegas terms, maybe. But I bet no matter who makes it in the NL, the Royals will be the overwhelming pick by the baseball writers.
